We said a prayer at the burial site of Rex Masai in Machakos. He was part of the over 60 youth who lost their lives on June 2024. Families continue to demand justice and compensation, the country may forget but for these families, the month of June carries pain, angst, the weight of injustice and a sadness so deep n dark. We will continue to fight for them and WE WILL NEVER FORGET!! Asante @orengo_james for continuing to push for Justice!

It was nice catching up with Hon Ndindi Nyoro. Each time we meet @NdindiNyoro reminds me of the immense potential that the young people have for this country. We must seek solutions to problems facing our country and indeed our continent one day at a time and by listening keenly to the concerns of the wananchi. Tuendelee tu! Mbele iko sawa #Senator042

Some leaders spend years in opposition behaving like intellectual revolutionaries, passionately diagnosing every national problem, attacking government incompetence, and presenting themselves as the enlightened alternative destined to rescue the country.
Suddenly, the same people who once mastered the language of criticism became experts in excuses

Kasongo’s government has finally discovered a new economic formula:
“Save you on the road by reducing diesel by 10 bob… then finish you at home by increasing kerosene.”
So the hustler will now arrive home 10 bob cheaper, only to cook 38 bob more expensively.
This government no longer solves problems. It simply transfers suffering from one pocket to another and calls it policy.

Today unfortunately no matter what side of the political camp you are, no matter your tribe. Either you or someone you know has been inconvenienced by the strikes and civil unrest due to high cost of living. Tomorrow, unless there is some sort of intervention Kenyans will continue to suffer. We will still face high matatu fares, high tokens and much more. Truth is we are all in pain, we are all sufffering. It is true the government must move to alleviate the crisis, even if fuel is a geopolitical issue , it has local ramifications. The oppositon must and will also offer solutions in due course. However today i just want to say to those suffering , i see you. Its not the ideal situation, we may not know the extent of your pain and the reality of your suffering but i do know this; each day is a day closer to the expiry date of your problem. Keep hope alive, dont give up, dont throw in the towel. Keep going. You are made on purpose for a purpose and successful people look like you .

What sort of logic is this really? Fuel pricing is a predictable monthly event! Every single month we know the price will be reviewed! Shouldn’t you “protect Kenyans” when conducting the review in the first instance? We are seeing a pattern here where Kasongo throws us pain first then “reconvenes” to give us Panadol.
