I'm infuriated by the fraudulent daycares in Minnesota that took public funds without ever serving children.
There are hundreds of thousands of legitimate providers across the country working incredibly hard to deliver high-quality childcare for families and they will likely pay the price for these bad actors.
If states are looking to strengthen oversight, we collect extensive childcare data at @Winnie and are always open to supporting transparency and accountability efforts.

I’m excited to announce that @Winnie has made the @Inc 5000 list of fastest growing private companies for the third year in a row! Deeper integration with child care providers, expansion into new verticals, and tons of AI behind the scenes have fueled our growth in the past year.
There’s still so much more to do to help parents find the best childcare and education. Mostly I’m thrilled the business keeps doing so well because it allows me to keep doing this work forever 🥰 Onwards!

I’m now convinced that the days of holding news for the press are over. It's a complete waste of time and effort.
Here are some of the ways we got the word out about @Winnie's K-12 school search without getting the press to cover it: We ourselves submitted & published a Forbes article related to the launch / I went on the Edtech Insiders podcast / We announced the news on our own blog and social media channels / We asked some folks that had email lists and audiences to rebroadcast our news. Soon we’ll be sending out emails to our own audience.
So far it’s been working just as well as any "official press" would have…
- On a parenting panel I was on recently, one of the participants said she saw our K-12 news on LinkedIn
- On a customer call, one of our customers mentioned she had read my piece in Forbes
- Our landing page for the launch got 1500 page views with no paid marketing
We didn’t worry about making one big splash and instead just put the product out there and started talking about it ourselves.
