❤️VOLUME 8 IS GOING NOWHERE!❤️ We trimmed the video, contacted Sony and the claim was removed. Unfortunately this does mean our original vision is tainted somewhat. The claim was for using the melody and lyrics of "Strangers in The Night" in an "intentionally contextual way". The claim originated from Sony Music Publishing. This video has been online for 13 years. Zero issues until this week. We assumed that we were covered under Fair Use, but we aren't lawyers, so we may be wrong. Can anyone shed some light on this? While YouTube did eventually email us (thanks to all of you), we actually had to deal with Sony ourselves. The instructions provided by YouTube were the actions we were already taking based on our own communication with Sony. This was never about the video itself, as it has been uploaded elsewhere. We are glad that the original comments will remain. It is troubling that this became an issue at all, however. Sow your oats as far and wide as you can. Be thankful that Newgrounds is still around. Now, we're gonna continue making Volume 11. Cheers!
