📅Day 21: Early intervention matters - Areas like Bolton and Wigan help disadvantaged pupils ‘catch up’ from large age-5 gaps to below-national gaps by 11. Few areas achieve this by age 16, showing how early intervention is critical to prevent disadvantaged pupils falling behind.

@JeanGrossCBE It is remarkably similar overall, but they also have 'starter packs.' Which are lists of people in one community. There are several for Education. I have heard it's better not to delete your Twitter account, as after a period others can start using it.

I'm thinking of switching to Blue Sky too as Musk is thinking of funding Reform. Will I find the great educators and ed research on Blue Sky? Advice please!

Inferring word meaning from texts is more difficult for children with DLD. This (further) highlights the importance of early identification of #DevLangDis - left unsupported, such difficulties with listening/reading comprehension will impact on educational outcomes.

@EducEndowFoundn @UnityResSch I like the idea of tethering oral language to other activities. It shouldn't be an add on. One thng to add. As much as I love vocabulary, we need a broader view in schools. It needs to include sentences and narrative also.
