People underestimate the risk associated with holding fiat in a bank account or on an exchange. Lower that risk by holding #bitcoin in self custody.

I understand going back in order to buy shit since most people only accept fiat. But going back and then sitting in fiat…in a bank account or on an exchange…is just dumb.

I heard that when these first exchange rates were published they only had a few thousand #bitcoin for sale (only a few dollars worth) at a time. I'd like to confirm whether or not this was true. Talk about an illiquid market! 😆

The vast majority of people who trade will LOSE #bitcoin...not gain more of it. Self custody and save your #bitcoin instead. Done right, you'll never lose a single sat.

Just throwing this out there to remind anyone who has recently followed me and not heard me say it before... I'm a terrible trader and almost all of my short term predictions end up being wrong. This is why I've stopped trading and simply save in #bitcoin now.

If someone's running #Bitcoin Core 0.15 (pre-SegWit), they don't have any visibility into inscriptions, right? Does that mean that they get to download/store less data too? What are some of the trade offs to doing this? Paying slightly higher fees? Privacy?

How is a contentious soft fork pushed through or rolled back on #Bitcoin? By having influence over the miners, since they’re the ones who build the blocks and decide which txns get included. So then the question is, how can users influence miners/which users are most influential?
