We celebrate the Year of the Trident the best way we know: on the open road.
An epic journey that brings Maserati back to its origins, from Shanghai to Modena, crossing continents, landscapes and cultures.
The first stage starts in Shanghai, a city defined by speed, precision and forward momentum. A place where everything moves fast – the perfect expression of the Maserati spirit. From here, a fleet of Maserati leads westward, towards Jingdezhen, marking the first chapter of a route that will unfold mile after mile, all the way back to Modena. Let the journey begin.

The Hessian matrix H(f) of a function f: Rⁿ → R is the n×n matrix of all second partial derivatives.
For f(x,y):
[ fxx fxy ]
[ fyx fyy ]
Definition:
[ ∂²f/∂x₁² ∂²f/∂x₁∂x₂ ... ∂²f/∂x₁∂xₙ ]
[ ∂²f/∂x₂∂x₁ ∂²f/∂x₂² ... ∂²f/∂x₂∂xₙ ]
H(f) = [ : : : ]
[ ∂²f/∂xₙ∂x₁ ∂²f/∂xₙ∂x₂ ... ∂²f/∂xₙ² ]
In compact form:
[H(f)]ᵢⱼ = ∂²f / ∂xᵢ∂xⱼ
Named after German mathematician Otto Hesse (1811–1874). Used to study curvature, convexity, and classify critical points in multivariable calculus & optimization.

Lenz’s Law:
It explains that the direction of an induced current is always such that it opposes the change in magnetic field that produced it.
In other words, if a magnetic field through a coil is increasing, the induced current creates its own field to push against it. If the field is decreasing, the induced current creates a field to help it out. That’s why Lenz’s Law is basically the “nature hates change” rule for electromagnetism.
