More than anything Tucker-Jiang is a testament to how low-IQ the “analysts” covering geopol for the mainstream media are than when the average joe hears someone of moderately above avg IQ who is clearly not high-IQ they instantly gravitate towards him because their benchmark is so intellectually bankrupt. To be clear I think Proj Jiang is a clown. Unfortunately reporters are both clowns and functionally braindead.

A single, unverified source says Mojtaba Khamenei was in a coma at Loghman Hospital and is now dead.

You are an actual fucking moron if you think Charlie Kirk was assassinated by the Jews or that Israel had anything to do with it. Seriously.

The European mind cannot even begin to comprehend that Iran *may* become a strategic victory for the US and Israel
David Orr@orrdavid

Nice summary. I don't get the takes that the US and Israel are losing this war. Before it started, I talked with several leftist Jews. Their expectation was that war with Iran would result in catastrophic damage to Israel. Nothing close to that happened. From here, the USA can decide just how many years or decades to set back Iran. We can destroy their entire ability to money money by blowing up Kharg Island. We could take out their electricity infrastructure. Even if we don't do either of those, Iran is set back many years already. They pose no real threat to the outside world during this time, and if they rebuild the same way, it would be easy for a future president to repeat the same thing. We've also rolled the dice on regime change. We have no idea what we'll end up with, but there's a solid chance it could be considerably better than the status quo. It's hard to see it being any worse, at least for non-Iranians. Even if they resume trying to get nuclear weapons, that's what we had before anyway, which is already the worst possible outcome for the free world. Israel now have much closer relations with the good half of the middle east. Lebanon has officially outlawed Hezbollah. The Houthis are no longer blocking Suez. And finally, the fact that this was published in Al Jazeera is itself telling about the long term damage that Iran has caused itself. Populations don't forget having missiles launched at their homes, and that the rest of the middle east's hatred of Iran isn't going to normalize for at least decades. aljazeera.com/opinions/2026/…

I think Okano Valve Manufacturing (6492.JP) is an exceptional investment opportunity. It is the cleanest and cheapest way to invest in the nuclear renaissance I have found. I’m grateful to @JimJimmeny11 for the idea. Okano is a highly specialized manufacturer of high-temperature, high-pressure valves for nuclear and thermal power plants, with almost 50% of revenue from maintenance services. It holds a near-monopoly position in the Japanese market, protected by decades of operating experience and impassable qualification barriers. Okano is entering a multi-year earnings upcycle as Japanese utilities recommission reactors and replace aging valve infrastructure, driving revenue growth off a depressed base with significant operating leverage. I expect the recent disruptions to energy supply will break remaining political resistance to nuclear restarts and compress the launch timeline. Despite strong demand tailwinds, the firm’s valuation doesn’t price much growth. On my FY2026 numbers, P/E is 13, and EV/EBITDA is 8. Investors evidently do not consider international expansion or next-generation reactors as valuable options. Like Togami Electric Manufacturing (6643.JP), Okano’s risk/reward ratio is heavily skewed today, so I made a large investment last week under ¥10,000 without overthinking it.

This pollster is one of the best on the left right now, and pretty smart, which is funny because it just shows you how progressivism infects the mind and puts the blinders on. Does it ever occur to him that taxing the rich more might have consequences readily observable in state migration and job growth data? Does he find it strange that the City of New York spends ($42B) more on education than the entire country of Japan ($40B)? Does he think it’s a worthwhile pursuit for taxpayers to get value for their money?
Adam Carlson@admcrlsn

Look, it’s pretty simple. There’s a huge budget shortfall caused by the Adams admin. There are looming federal cuts to the city. You can either raise taxes on the rich or you can cut vital city services that impact New Yorkers tangibly on a daily basis. Mamdani wants to tax the rich. The state legislature wants to tax the rich. The voters (54-29 statewide, per Siena) want to tax the rich. The only person standing in the way of taxing the rich is Gov. Hochul. The only one who would be responsible for cuts to things like trash collection, public safety, housing, education, public health services, parks, libraries, and god knows what else is Gov. Kathy Hochul. Sometimes the right thing to do and the politically smart thing to do are one and the same. This is one of those times. Just tax the rich.

Why would management file ANOTHER atm after the first? Could it be that they are not acting in the interests of their shareholders? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
