Notre Dame’s success this postseason is simple & should be modeled. Niele and her staff is killing it no doubt BUT they have an incredible floor general, leader & a team that loves each other enough to not be denied! Togetherness > Talent!
Notre Dame lost a TON of “talent” and now… they are in the Elite 8! Kudos to all involved! #salute @IrishCoachIvey YOU ROCK 👑

@YolettMcCuin did their floor general get more than 20 minutes in their sweet 16 game?

@RealMrJuco Now coach. Everyone ain’t THAT! She is DIFFERENT and arguably 1 of 1

....but you still see posts by coaches seeking Guards 5-8 and over

I’ve had sometime away from our last game and honestly I’ve never left a game feeling the way I felt. So instead of complaining I’d like to offer a solution for all head of officials to consider moving fwd:
1. Put the block charge circle back in the game! Rationale: Easier to identify and takes discretion out
2. Universal calls: teams that are built like mine get called for stuff because of our stature. Officiating needs to be black and white! No more judgement calls. And call it the same across conferences.
3. Officiating convention: mandatory for all officials! Get their butts in one space. Lay out the rules and keep it universal. (Coaches can now teach players the rules and expect consistency)
4. Allow us to appeal foul calls! Officials are human and get it wrong a lot. Take a look at it and allow them to own their mistake! 2 per team.
These FOUR suggestions I think can help the game move fwd. there’s too much bias, opinions, and personal judgement during games! Call the game as the rules are stated!
I’m aware that there will be still room for error but I know as coaches we can sleep at night better if we know what to expect every game!
With love 💙❤️
P.S. don’t come on my post arguing. If you feel different go ahead and make your own post 🙏🏽

@YolettMcCuin They put the aggressive bug in the refs ears and they fell for it. I’m sure someone called the ref office and pointed out her perceived aggression n refs said hold my beer!
English

@BobMarshallX And they saying is “it’s tough to officiate that person” excuse me what? It’s because you’re using judgement and not simple rules. Take judgement out!
English

@YolettMcCuin Excellent suggestions. I know as a Sooner fan im tired of Beers getting called just because she is big.

Coach Yo,
I should probably research if this is already a thing, but I think there should be a committee of coaches at your level that meet every off season to discuss things likes this. I feel as if it would only benefit both parties. As a licensed official and college coach myself, I would love to hear from coaches in a controlled setting about suggestions to make the game as a whole better.
