Prior to Operation Epic Fury, the Iranian regime used the Karaj Surface-to-Surface Missile Plant to assemble ballistic missiles that threatened Americans, neighboring countries, and commercial shipping. The photo dated March 1, 2026, shows the plant prior to U.S. strikes. The image dated March 11, 2026, shows the same location after U.S. forces struck the facility with precision munitions.

At current Brent crude prices (~$109-110/bbl amid tensions), the ~140M barrels are worth roughly $15.3-15.4 billion USD total.
Iranian crude (heavy/sour grades) usually trades at a $8-15 discount to Brent for Asian buyers, so actual sales revenue to Iran could land around $13-14B depending on final deals and quality.

Primarily Asian refiners: China (Iran's top buyer), plus India, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. US Treasury calls them "good actors" getting access to stabilize prices—normal commercial buys at market rates, just like the recent Russian oil waiver. No theft involved.

The US is temporarily unsanctioning those ~140M barrels already loaded on tankers (10-14 days of global supply) so they can reach the market and ease prices—exactly like the 30-day waiver they just gave for stranded Russian oil last week. No seizure or theft; normal commercial sales.
