Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan: We reject all kinds of actions that target regional geographies, and we believe that Israel’s attempts to whitewash its own crimes and its expansionist, occupying policies should never be allowed under the guise of this regional conflict, such actions must not be permitted.

While Turkey labels Israel as “expansionist,” it has itself been conducting a fully occupationist, colonial, and assimilationist policy in one part of Kurdistan for over a century. The same Turkey pursues neo-Ottoman expansionism in Libya, northern Syria, Iraqi territory, Somalia, Qatar, and numerous other geographies; it establishes military bases, funds proxy forces, and forcibly expands its territory and sphere of influence. This hypocrisy is so blatant that Turkey’s “Israeli expansionism” rhetoric has now become a full-blown moral scandal. There is no universal law, justice, or principle involved whatsoever — only pure opportunistic conjuncture, selective rage, and cheap propaganda. Nothing more than a state demonizing others to cover up its own occupation and expansionism. In short: No matter how loudly Turkey shouts it, this discourse has zero moral legitimacy, zero credibility, and zero consistency. It is simply the shameful contradiction of a state desperately trying to whitewash its own dirt.

@Osint613 🚨🇹🇷 Türkiye has been saying this since the beginning of the war, but neighboring countries are allowing the US to use their bases despite Iran's warnings, which is prolonging the war. Countries like Türkiye and Azerbaijan have closed US bases.

Turkey's condemnation of Israeli expansionism highlights a selective application of international norms. This framing is incomplete without acknowledging Ankara's parallel policies. Since 2016 Turkey has conducted repeated military operations in Syria, establishing control over strategic border areas. The 1974 Cyprus intervention led to occupation of roughly 36 percent of the island, persisting for decades. Turkish maritime activities have also challenged claims in the Eastern Mediterranean. These reflect broader patterns of powers securing energy interests and buffers amid regional rivalries. Uniform adherence to rules, rather than targeted rhetoric, offers the clearer path to stability.

@Osint613 More blah, blah from Turkey. My question is when will Erdogan permit a fair election so we can learn what the Turkish people think? Erdogan the Turkish strongman has been running the place for two decades and imprisons his opponents.

@Osint613 Regime never stopped its killings, threats & nuclear ambitions. Turkey's govt fears regime change for 2 reasons: 1) similar dictatorships like theirs could be next targeted by their own people; 2) weakened Iran is just a minor bother for Israel, not a real competitor for Turkey

Says the Foreign Minister of a nation that was the origin of the Ottoman Empire (Anatolia). Turks were master architects of conquest and geographical disruption since the late 1200s. So, yeah. When Hakan Fiden speaks about expansionism and occupation, he knows what the fuck he's talking about. It is, after all, in his DNA.
