Shameful. President Bio signed the child rights act into law WITHOUT provisions that protect Sierra Leone’s girls from FGM. I used to think @julius_maadabio was progressive on protecting girls but he’s as unprogressive as the APC on this. What kind of leader in the year of our lord 2025 doesn’t align their values with their politics? Father of democracy and human rights defender? How? Where? Small girls as young as 6 and 7 will continue to suffer the cutting of razors and knives in back bushes of our nation because President Bio refused to take a stand. Una no day taya for make gyal pikin dem die en suffer for natin? How many have to die?
