We finally have new images of Medrengard - the Daemon World of the Iron Warriors - from the Eye of Terror: Reign of Iron codex supplement!! :D Here's some new lore on Medrengard from the book (which we didn't already know): - Medrengard is a bleak place with a bleached sky and a black sun; the sun literally drains the life around it, including your lifeforce if you're a mortal. - Perturabo's lair is called the Kolasikon. It's on an onyx island that's surrounded by a lake of lava and a sprawling industrial city called the Arazikion. - Pyriphon is a place where there are a formidable cluster of hell-forges used by Perturabo. Here, Daemon Engines, weapons, shells and the like are produced for the Iron Warriors. - A citizen of Medrengard is referred to as a Medrengarder. - Many types of "monstrous creatures and tortured constructs" roam the planet as a result of the Iron Warriors' macabre experimentations (which probably includes the Unfleshed).

I'm not going to be playing Pragmata. I just don't have time. But as a new father I pray for more pro-children and pro-parenthood themes to come forth in the coming years. I don't post politics but I WILL post virtue. Having children within the bounds of wedlock is a virtue.

Love it! Yeah, it is strange how they have taken their projections of "toxic masculinity" and just grafted the traits on to female characters, then call it empowerment. Unfortunately, they don't bring along the primal or noble motivations of a male character, so we get insufferable.

Western Devs will create the most HORRIFYING and ANNOYING character of all time and then wonder why no one likes them. Its actually quite easy to make a likable character. Just make them likable.

Men is it wrong to want children? Ive been seeing alot of women online lately who seem to think a man yearning for his own family is inherently "predatory"?

lots of strange reactions to this game. let’s clear some things up: childless men do not have paternal instincts the way that childless women have maternal instincts (we observe this even in the way little girls play vs. little boys). men first experience paternal instincts once they have their own children - and typically, those paternal instincts are only ever felt for their own children, and no one else’s. men are not nurturers. men don’t gush over cute kids in public. men don’t have baby fever. if a man wants to possess a child for any reason other than it being a product of his own lineage, he is likely a predator. and you’d be taking the feminist/radical gender abolitionist position to protest any of the above points. this should explain why a “dad simulator” game marketed to mostly childless men gives people the creeps.

The Ecclesiarchy is one of my favorite parts of 40k. What some may view as irony, I view as meaningful critique. Anti-Christ people don't seem to understand that many Christians welcome criticism of the Church. 40k provides some of the most poignant far-future reflections on the failures and dangers of religion. All while painting the most honest fictional depictions of FAITH.

Let's go! Good words. Thanks for the recommendation. Downloading FH now. That has been on the list, also Thousand Sons, since that involves the Council of Nikaea (i was told). I am in Volume 1, and am skipping way ahead after finishing HH Horus Rising throgh Fulgrim. I am aiming to ensure my lore is airtight with references before I write the fan-fic for my son. One thing I know, Jesus returns throgh the Warp. That is awesome about your studies! Church history fascinates me. I am sure you are far more tuned into Church/lore parallels.

His story starts in the great HH book "Know No Fear". hes present for the Word Bearer attack on Calth, a planet in Ultramaar. You can in theory just start there, but "Legion" and "First Heretic" might be good reads beforehand. "First Heretic" more so, but Legion is good too. FH covers the Word Bearers which is good lore for anyone coming from a interest in real world theology as it intersects with 40k. Legion is a fun book and introduces John Gramaticus who is recurring through Ol's story, but hes a hit or miss. Hes cool enough in Legion but many people are annoyed by his character by the time of End and the Death. Where are you in your lore reading so far? I saw you posting about End and the Death on the TL, which one? Theres so much to read lmao. Im in a fortunate cool position where Ive read a LOT of the 40k cannon and am now currently making a real study of scripture and Church Fathers - St Thomas Aquinas is my confirmation saint, so he is helping me out along the way and im v grateful for it, silly as it may be. ive often had the idea of your account and site here come to mind, esp as my faith increases. Was affirmed to see that you also correctly identify EoM as an antichrist figure if not the lawless man himself... Seems to me that we would find Christ in a third position in the 40k universe between extremes, not belonging to either, much like in real life. Christians surely would not fall to the lies of the Chaos gods, who are self-evidently based on various fallen demons from real theology, nor would He be on the side of the "earthly" power of the Imperium, given what the Emperor has done. I do have fun imagining in my own head a sort of Christian triumphalist fan-fiction of true believers still existing somewhere in 40k setting being accosted by all sides, protected from Chaos by Christs name and persecuted by Imperium.

I was recently reminded of John 1:5, "The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot comprehend it." All across the human stage we see this manifested. People moved by the spirit of antichrist can't grasp the goodness of Jesus, so they mock and pervert His name. Games Workshop moved by the spirit of activist can't grasp the position of their opponents, so they slander and warp their own property.

Welcome to all the new folks! It is great reading everyone's thoughts on these polarizing topics. I engage on X in good faith, simply using this multi-media platform to articulate opinions and express my soul. My "Jesus 40k Worldview" can be summed up like this:
Jesus 40k Worldview@40kWorldview

PRAGMATA is another crystal-clear example of the darkness not comprehending the Light. A game taps into the holy and precious bond of being a girl-dad, and the darkness sees pedophilia. They cannot comprehend GOODNESS. Everything is perverse to them, because their souls are lost to Chaos.

Yes the religion that protects people from Demons, provides a guiding light that lets the civilization function, and has actual angels that come and save the day......is a commentary on the evils of Christianity.... Some people are so stupid I wish for the Petrol Age Collapse

@TStudite826 @40kWorldview >There is much wisdom in the Ecclesiarchy Could not agree more. I've kind of avoided the 40k fandom for so long because it was shocking how nobody seemed to comprehend that the Ecclesiarchy is right about so much. Same goes for the Mechanicus, Inquisition, etc.

@40kWorldview So true. There is much wisdom in the Ecclesiarchy and even its earlier manifestations. While the Astartes have their bolters, the average masses of mankind have nothing but faith as their shield against the dark. Mankind MUST confront the evil in the warp somehow.
