@symboltherapper Yeah pretty much! Her first was an iPad mini and as she got older we upgraded that to the pro (she’s a budding artist as well) Pc is for sims and strategy games, she plays Xbox for fortnite, apex and overwatch. Mostly genshin impact, Roblox on the iPad.

@AMcCarthy83 Has she been gaming since she was like 5 or 6? My kids all play on consoles but that’s because they broke at least 3 tablets 😁

You can clearly see the defining line of people who are stuck in the video games era of the 90s-00s to the new generation that play video games today.

Stop saying that Xbox isn't making a Next Generation Console. They're doing even more than that! If you want to all the games at launch get an Xbox or PC!

@PabloOraa @JezCorden I’m hopeful (naive?) that in the future they will have it all XPA, I’ll have the next Xbox, the handheld and my PC and I won’t have to check online if a game I want needs purchasing multiple times. That’s the hope 😅

@AMcCarthy83 @JezCorden Really good question. There's no real reason at least CoD is XPA as HQ and Warzone are, so it's just them being awful xD Master Chief Collection launched on Xbox in 2014. It still applies the old no new yeah, it's not inconsistent (really bad bad bad bad decision)

@PabloOraa @JezCorden Master chief collection isn’t either. An IP they have had forever. And why aren’t the latter games you’ve mentioned XPA? It’s so messy which is a shame as it’s an awesome feature I really wish they’d lean fully into. I get it’s a lot harder for 3rd parties.

@AMcCarthy83 @JezCorden Old games are not XPA, which is the same for every studio they own. New ones are except for Minecraft Dungeons, Minecraft Legends and BO 6. Those should have been, but it's not like they hide that way of doing it Btw, every dlc from CoD are shared between Xbox and PC

@AMcCarthy83 @JezCorden A title to be play anywhere required one version for console and one for pc. They are not the same so it's not as easy. More than that, if Xbox force EA or T2 (or any company) to be XPA, they have more possibility to be ignored completely

@JezCorden How much cooler could it have been if alongside this campaign they also announced that ALL games bought in the Xbox ecosystem where ‘play anywhere’ ! Then ‘this is an Xbox’ would have meant a lot more.

Xbox new marketing reminds me of the dissonance from 2013. It's in line with the way things are trending but misaligned with sentiment. Just seems mad uncool and capitulatory, which is the opposite of what a marketing campaign should be. There's nothing cool about this lol.

@EnterSamMan88 @Colteastwood Yup exactly this. Master-chief collection isn’t an anywhere title but infinite is. Skyrim isn’t either but Starfield is. Messy.

@AMcCarthy83 @Colteastwood That's my one criticism with this right now. I can play stuff like Metaphor on all my devices and earn achievements with cross save etc. Then I see them put diablo 4 on gamepass and it's stuck in bnets ecosystem. Vessel of hatred included which I can only use on my pc

@JasonAs29434849 @Colteastwood To be clear. I was talking about Sony first party on Xbox. I agree that Sony will port more IP to Nintendo. DS isn’t a first party IP. Anything outside contractual obligations (destiny, Marathon and MLB)

Exclusives as we knew it, are changing. PlayStation 4Chan Leak says "Sony is confirming a partnership to port their games into Nintendo platforms." Do you believe this?

@AMcCarthy83 @klobrille There are tons of examples. Xbox has a great goal in place with Xbox Play Anywhere but needs to be the leader in it by making sure all of their titles support it. Instead they are inconsistent at best and double-speak about the value they are creating with it at worst.

@klobrille They still can't even do it for their own IP. Diablo IV, Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls Online, Age of Empires all lack Xbox Play Anywhere support. They own the IP and can't even do it for their own titles.

NEW: I talked to Microsoft gaming CEO @XboxP3 - Bullish on WoW; thinks STALKER 2 will be on some GOTY lists - MS' PC-only games (not on Xbox) mostly an "anomaly" - Game Pass pacing led to Avowed delay, allowing for more polish. (Sign of how they'll manage a growing portfolio)
