Could Sunderland have provided the blueprint for promoted teams to avoid relegation from the Premier League? 🤔

@MudrasRajesh @mihirsv It's deeper than that. If the answer is no, then the question to be asked is "why ?".

@mihirsv Is the experiment of having foreign coaches yielding the desired benefits. A question that needs to be asked, aloud

Throwing money in the garb of motivation - like AIFF tried with the 42 lakh bonus for a win - at a bunch of overpaid players, who've lost will to step out of comfort zone, isn't the solution. Wholesale systemic change from top-down is. #IndianFootball #HongKongvsIndia

@mihirsv This is true. Unfortunately it's a long process and constantly moving jigsaw puzzle.
India has huge potential if the foundations are correct, but this takes time and strategy.

@JohnnyTheNic Kits are too expensive but this is a wildy oversimplistic article. What you're suggesting is that a club (e.g. Arsenal) give up ~£600m from Adidas over 10 years. Also they should bring the whole hugely complicated manufacturing process in house. Pie in the sky (unfortunately)

Good piece this. Kits are way too expensive... yet people still keep buying them. 🙄
And always pleasing to read the following:
"...The old ‘they’ll pay for the transfer fee with shirt sales alone’ idea is a complete myth..."

Top flight clubs make little profit from shirt sales. The business model they use is outdated. Here's a better idea that puts fans first. football365.com/news/arsenal-1…

Amazing to speak about the future of digital sport collectibles at the @FansAndTokens conference in #Istanbul and where the industry might be heading!
Thanks to @realFredAntunes + @AndrewOrsatti for the conversations - we don't always agree but that's good!

We like to think @LionClubOff provide the best utility of any sports NFT and the top 1% of all NFT projects.
Don’t just take our word for it… read this thread 🧵 of utility..

@SandmanJD @LionClubOff @knightsofdegen Indeed imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. This project has been going longer than KoD.
Thanks for playing.

@LionClubOff Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery @knightsofdegen has been doing all this but bigger for the past 18 months. Definitely looks cool and will check it out but when you are talking the best utility when it comes to sports NFTs one project is clearly #1 and that is KOD

So sorry to hear of the passing of the original GOAT @Pele. A true gentleman and icon of the game. The sporting world is a poorer place without him. Rest in peace 🙏🐐🇧🇷
