#Emami must clarify the key reasons behind dismantling this champion squad of @eastbengal_fc , starting with Oscar, Adrian and Javier. No wonder key players will follow suit now. I could imagine if the reason was uncertainity but they are still investing, they will play in Durand, in AFC and by that time ISL will be clearer. So they will bring new coach en all, then why to lose the set squad? Extra budget ?? No support from Club? Jupitar wagons?
Distressing. Back to square one.

@AgnivT There are a lot of OCIs who start and finish their career in 4th 5th division. Forget national team. So for them its a great opportunity.

Shan Hundal regularly being vocal about wanting to represent India and acquire Indian citizenship is something that deserves appreciation.👏🏻
At the same time, some of the expectations from him being placed on AIFF do not really make sense.🤦🏻
A football federation cannot push an individual player into an Indian Super League club or convince clubs to sign him. If Shan’s salary expectations are high and he is only interested in playing in the ISL, then it ultimately becomes the responsibility of his agent and himself to find the right club.
What the federation can do is work on policies that make it easier for players of Indian origin to come and play in India, for example, introducing regulations such as allowing an additional foreign player slot for players of Indian origin.
Policies like that could encourage more overseas Indian-origin players to enter the Indian football system and possibly pursue Indian citizenship in the future.
But Shaan’s expectations from AIFF to help him with getting into an ISL club is unrealistic and outside the federation’s actual role.

The only young EB player who did well in ISL to a decent extent, is Edmund who was originally hired for East Bengal by coach Alejandro, who had excellent knowledge & work experience in grooming youth, being Head Coach of multiple B teams of La Liga 2

East Bengal´s proposal definitely makes sense & would help the survival of Indian football.
But lets be clear that this is all about survival of ISL & the clubs.
Indian football standard would remain low - none of these proposals are related to overall football standard.

A very mature, reasonable and logical proposal has been put forward by my club 🔴🟡. This is the ideal framework for any quality football calendar.
But in the end, who cares? The VULTURE FRANCHISES only want monopoly and power.
