Another busy year!…on top of everything else, a comprehensive chapter with Karl, Reg, Prav & Sat with editing from Anastasiya and Rui on solving surgical site complications in the new Springer-Nature book and an entire classifications book with Mohammad, Umar and Peter. 😮‍💨

I finally made it into the daily mail for lecturing in a loud shirt (Orlebar Brown, bought in their sale last year), barefoot, while at a conference in Portugal, on my annual leave, at no cost to the NHS. CEPD for doctors is compulsory and the conference was organised long before the strikes, so not “convenient”.

@BBCPolitics @AmandaPritchard rather than simply hoping somebody else will end the strikes, shouldn’t the top NHS leadership exert its influence to solve the matter in the first place to improve your staff morale & working conditions, and in turn help the huge issue of NHS staff retention?
