Brittni Donaldson has been named Assistant Coach and Assistant General Manager of the Portland Fire. Donaldson joins the Fire after nearly a decade of coaching and front-office experience. Most recently, she was with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, and was a member of the Toronto Raptors basketball operations staff during their 2019 NBA Championship run. “Brittni is one of the sharpest minds in the game. She blends world-class analytical expertise with an athlete-centered coaching philosophy. Around 3 years ago I was lucky enough to cross paths with @AlexJSarama when he was in Italy, as he coached 3 of my athletes at College Prep academy. Alex had a transformational view on player development, with CLA being the key cog in the way these athletes learned. All 3 athletes ended up with college scholarships, and Alex was hired within 2 years as head of player dev at the Cavs. No coincedence that Alex has been part of the rise of CLA in the wider basketball community.
