I do sort of agree with the comments that this can only happen if it’s PSG / Bayern though.
Some other leagues - not just the PL - are just too competitive to sustain that level of performance in April.
Shouldn’t detract from what an insane game that was.

Can see this happening in the summer. Villa get a fee for a player we bought for £2m and SJM gets a big pay rise for his final contract in PL. as good as he is for Villa we need to deal in summer to finance the refresh of the squad that is needed to bring overall age down. Would be Everton’s best player

@Alex_Berwick @vtidutv3 It was, I saw too many Emery outers which people don't seem to understand he has gotten a mid table at best level squad to challenge the top 6, with barely any money, poor recruitment, same players over and over again. If we lose him we'll be back to old ways again

Yesterday was disappointing, but there’s a lack of perspective IMO.
Last season, the two Europa League finalists were arsing about from Feb on and finished 15th & 17th too.

And it would be mainly down to which mentality is better because one have experience here, the other not for a long time

@Alex_Berwick I really think they're appreciated by 99.9% of fans. What I see and put this reaction down to more is 'fear' and 'worry' from us fans. Fear that this group are literally so close to becoming immortals and classed in the legends bracket, to us. They are so close.
