They’ll never permit it. They will quite literally fight a civil war to keep Red States in the Union, by pointing to Blue clusters within them that need to be saved from their reactionary fascist overlords. So your options are to just surrender to these people or to take power at the Federal level and impose your will on this entire country, including Blue States like California and New York.

We need a 3rd party ... an America First Party. I'm done with the @gop. No more donations, no more votes. Republican senators should jump down from their ivory tower and realize the senate is no longer the “greatest deliberative body”. It’s a dysfunctional bunch of snobs who go on vacation when the American people need them most. And it’s not a “misunderstanding of how the senate works”. No. The senators continually lie and in the last few months, they couldn’t even keep their stories straight so the lies piled up. The senate is a dysfunctional body that uses convoluted rules that were developed by egomaniacs who took vacations two out of four weeks each month and were in office for 45 years, or until they are obviously suffering from dementia, although dementia isn’t disqualifying, apparently.

Voters elected a Republican Senate to do a job, and all they've done is hide behind procedural headwinds to justify not doing that job. The desire to protect the "institution of the Senate" is causing the Senate to lose its credibility.

In 2024, the Republican Base (America First) turned out en mass and secured a Republican "clean sweep" of the House, Senate and Presidency. That brought great excitement and enthusiasm about what was possible. It only took 15 months of stubbornness, stupidity, and obstruction from John Thune and Turnip McTurtle to completely derail the America First agenda and demoralize The Base. I despise those two - and the cowardly Repubs in the Senate who enable them!!
