UNLAWFULLY REVEALING CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. -PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY: “All I did was repeat what Secretary Hegseth said in a public hearing.” -REALITY: Hegseth made generic allusions publicly about the industrial base’s ability to replenish stocks of precision munitions. What Hegseth said was unclassified. Kelly, OTOH, went into specifics regarding stockpiles of specific munitions, listing them by name. More importantly, he made clear that the information he was stating publicly came from a CLASSIFIED briefing. One of the keys to handling classified info is to never confirm or deny the accuracy of the info if it is ever discussed in a non-classified forum. Kelly specifically CONFIRMED classified information. This is a grotesque OPSEC breach. I find Kelly so morally objectionable because of this sleaze ball behavior.
