Sort of odd that universities call a review that happens three years into the job, usually halfway to tenure, the “mid-career” review. Is a career over at tenure?

@zacharylipton After two decades of observing standard American punctuation for various MIT publications, I adopted punctuation (by default) outside quotation marks for the Amazon Science blog because it's just more logical.
