The bridge connects the southbound I-395 collector-distributor lanes and southbound Shirlington Road to North Quaker Lane at the I-395 Exit 6 interchange. 2/2

The Shirlington Circle south rotary bridge over I-395 will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday, July 13 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. 1/2

Watch as Dave makes it about himself: Lately, I've had a camera focused on the intersection of Army Navy, S. Hayes & I-395, curious about the many crashes at the intersection. Tonight, I almost got an up-close & personal lesson. In the video 🔽🔽, I'm the first at the light on westbound Army Navy. When I got the green light, experience had me prepared for the first 3 or 4 cars trying to squeeze in their left turn from eastbound onto I-395S. Even the one who made the turn from the thru lane didn't phase me. But I almost missed seeing the last driver, in the dark-colored SUV, who made the turn in front of me about 7 seconds after I got the green. Just shook my head. So saddened to hear about the child struck by a driver at @GlebeAPS & hope he makes a full recovery Also, frustrated by the principal's message to the entire school blaming the child! Schools are for kids. We need design that keep kids safe - not blaming children!
