@frankcifaldi These are some of the exact lessons I took away as well. I told myself forever that these were the benefits of my experience. And with the help of therapy within the last year I finally learned to truly except them as beliefs.

My dad decided to stop talking to me when I was maybe 12. The default response to this is sympathy, but I actually think I turned out better learning hard lessons early on: - there's no such thing as adults - there's no reason to trust authority - you can make your own family
