As part of the Tucson Delivers Safer City Program, the @Tucson_Police Department (TPD) has a newly built facility to support additional east side operations in response to expansion in the southeast area of Tucson. If HB4030/HCR2052 had been law last year, @CityofMaricopa couldn’t have acted in time to fix one of the most "dangerous highways in the West." In 2025, Maricopa voters approved a ½-cent sales tax to widen SR 347. Superior’s utilities are designed to pay for themselves. HB4030 and HCR2052 would block the town from adjusting rates when costs rise, forcing the General Fund to cover the gap. This could threaten funding for essential services like police and fire protection and harm the quality of life for our taxpayers.
