NASCAR's Jusan Hamilton, one of the primary schedule architects, is an Ithaca, N.Y. native (nearby Watkins Glen is his home track). He said from his experience, "it typically feels like summer in May, so I don't see a huge risk in having the race that time of year." He also said the data they looked at shows weather possibly in the low 70s and chance of rain lower than August. "The weather for camping should be great, and I think we'll be able to put on a really good show that time of year," he said.

Ty Gibbs is going to get lost in the lap averages because he pitted on lap 5 and then ran two extremely slow laps on laps 14 and 15 from traffic which got pushed into his lap averages. When we correctly remove those, he looks fanastic compared to Byron from the same practice group. That's why he tops my practice FLAGS

First thing #NASCAR needs to do to get the fans back on board: Lower admission prices. Why are tickets $135 if the stands will only be half full? My local NBA team has tickets for $12 some nights. Fill the stands first, then raise the prices.
