@JCNKS @morgansinkc There’s nothing west or north of the Legends. East of TSC is all of Independence, Blue Springs, and Grain Valley…roughly 200,000 people. You’d have to travel past Lawrence to see that many people West of Legends.

@morgansinkc They are both at opposite ends of 435 and I70. Arrowhead is not centrally located.

My sources say the new Chiefs facility will be built near K-10 and Ridgeview Road in Olathe, including a stadium for training camp practices and offices. Olathe high schools will also have access to the new stadium for sporting events. Glad the school district will get some benefit from the move!

@grunny61 Big mistake, not sure the Chiefs can compete in that market for parents’ sports dollars so close to the Garmin soccer fields and 3 & 2 East. Little Timmy needs the new $500 Hype Fire, not Chiefs training camp tickets.

@GehrigDieter Super Bowls and Final Fours...sounds like the same promises of NBA and/or NHL teams we were getting with the Sprint Center. Ticket prices will continue their meteoric rise, and more fans will be priced out and replaced with corporate held seats and a sterile atmosphere

@aaronbearden93 The other thing is how similar these cars are to what SVG was driving in SuperCars. I don’t know that JPM had ever raced anything he couldn’t see the tires in when he joined NASCAR. 🤣

It’s easy to give way to recency bias and say SVG, but the answer is still JPM IMO. He doesn’t get enough credit for how quickly he adapted to ovals and how competitive he was in the challenging COT era for a mid-pack team. Some focus too much on wins. There’s nuance here.

@IndyCarChick I've now seen photos dating back to 5/16/24 showing the modification on parts sitting outside the garage area. This isn't choosing to cheat, it's passing inspection dozens of times now and doing the same thing. If it was any organization other than Penske they'd be appealing.

This isn’t going to go away quietly. I still can’t wrap my head around the WHY. Why, on the biggest motorsports stage, would you choose to cheat.

I can’t say if the illegally blended attenuator was on the 2024 #Indy500 race-winning car when it crossed the finish line, but it is on the winning car currently on display in the IMS Museum.

@By_NathanBrown Passed tech. Race Control's interpretation of what was within the rules changed for some reason yesterday afternoon. I can't fault the 2 & 12 for presenting the car to tech the same as it'd been approved for over a year.

Photos of both sides of the attenuator on Josef Newgarden’s 2024 Indy 500-winning car inside the IMS Museum. Clearly has the seam between the parts of the attenuator filled and smoothed. Not aware of any rule change that would’ve allowed that to have been legal a year ago.

@mearn I don't get this Abel stuff. If RC had declared them illegal when they rolled through the first time on Saturday then this would all by quiet. The 2 & 12 would've removed the modification and still be Top 12 cars and Abel would still be slowest.

@Alexhabsfan1 @TheCincyBuckeye @marshallpruett It's not really cheating if tech saw it and approved it a dozen times and you leave the attenuators out in the open outside the garage area Saturday for all to see. It's only cheating because somebody made a case to RC Sunday that they should change their mind.

Per IndyCar: Upon further review last night and early this morning, INDYCAR will be moving cars No. 2 and 12 to the 32nd and 33rd starting positions for this year’s Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. They will start in order based upon their qualifying times from Saturday. Additionally, INDYCAR is suspending the team strategists for the Nos. 2 and 12 for the remainder of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, both cars will forfeit Indianapolis 500 qualification points and each entry has been fined $100,000. Car Nos. 2 and 12 also will forfeit their pit positions and will select their pit boxes after the remainder of the field has an opportunity to adjust accordingly. #Indy500

No way should Abel be in the race. Tech approved the 2 & 12 Saturday & earned their spot in. If RC's view of legal/illegal had changed on Sat instead of Sun, the 2 & 12 would have had time to run again w/ a legal car, or on Sunday to join the Last Row Shootout. No offense to Abel
