@VanWinkle2112 I still need to watch (from my stack) Succession, Severance, and The Bear. But I’ll get to Andor.

@Melissa_in_CA @spencerpratt So organization that pushed for tax is the one that ballot harvested for Raman

I charted election results between Karen Bass, @spencerpratt, Nithya Raman and Measure ER (approving a sales tax increase up to 10.25%, some of the highest in the nation).
The totals come from LA County's official results (results.lavote.gov). Notice the significant increase in support for Measure ER coincides with the biggest jumps for Nithya Raman. Thoughts?

Let’s talk about the Chinese Elephant in the room…We should remember that Mitch McConnell is married to Elaine Chao, whose family has deep business ties to the Communist Party of China.
Her sister, Angela Chao, served on the boards of Bank of China and China State Shipbuilding Corporation — the latter builds ships used by China’s military. Their family fortune was built through extensive, intimate business dealings in China. You don’t land board seats at two of China’s most important state-owned enterprises without being a high-ranking, card-carrying member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Elaine Chao married McConnell and later served in the George W. Bush administration. Angela Chao married Bruce Wasserstein (who died in 2009) and later married Jim Breyer.
I FOIA’d congressional financial disclosures in 2008 and again a few years later. The McConnell/Chao disclosure reportedly went from under $1M in 2008 to over $20M by 2010 after a gift from Elaine Chao’s father, James S. C. Chao, founder of Foremost Group.
McConnell must stop obstructing efforts to confront the Chinese Communist Party.

In Mexico, the Iranian Embassy operates as a media hub for propaganda against the U.S. and Israel, violating the Vienna Convention. More than 1,200 Iranians entered the country between January and February — a record figure. Mexico refuses to sever relations with the regime and to designate Hamas, Hezbollah, and the IRGC. thehill.com/opinion/intern…
