'The rate of children killed doubled the peak child-death rate of the Rwandan genocide, which previously held the record as the worst targeted mass-killing of children in modern history.'
Joel Webbon@JoelWebbon

Israel’s has not just been waging war. They have been waging war on children. “Before we get into theology, let’s look at the statistics long enough for them to properly horrify us, because the sanitized summary you’ll get on Fox News doesn’t do them justice. Save the Children confirmed at least 20,000 children killed by Israeli forces over twenty-three months. That means one per hour, clockwork, and unrelenting. UNICEF put the combined killed-and-maimed figure at 64,000 children by October 2025. The Lancet’s independent population survey, published in February 2026, estimated 22,800 children under eighteen killed by direct Israeli violence through January 2025 alone. A peer-reviewed analysis published in November 2025 found that Israeli strikes had driven child mortality in Gaza up 34 times over pre-war levels, with the rate of children killed doubling the peak child-death rate of the Rwandan genocide, which previously held the record as the worst targeted mass-killing of children in modern history. Did you catch that? The rate of child deaths in Gaza is double that of the Rwandan Genocide…at its PEAK. The IDF’s own leaked internal database registered 8,900 confirmed kills against a total death toll exceeding 70,000, producing a civilian death rate of 260% higher than in other modern conflicts. But the child death rate in particular? It’s almost 700% higher.” *Read more by using the link to our website in my bio.

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack

Tulips don’t have a fixed supply that no central bank or government can change, nor do they have a peer-to-peer payment network that allows you to own and spend your own money, secured by the largest decentralised supercomputer in the world and nodes that back up every transaction. That’s valuable to anybody that wants to be sovereign. That’s what’s true. You decide, if you can see the difference.

@SimonDixonTwitt Michael Burry of The Big Short fame, in his first interview in over 10 years and said, “#Bitcoin is not worth anything. It’s the tulip bulb of our time.” That true?

@SimonDixonTwitt I do enjoy watching the double-edged sword of tech playing out over time. Authoritarian Govs using it 4 full surveillance & ppl freak out. Then we get open-source which creates abundance & kills the Gov monopoly on tech. Internet - Info Bitcoin - Money AI - Knowledge

This is what the Bitcoin price was warning us about yesterday. 🇺🇸 Over $700 billion wiped out from the U.S. stock market today. 🇺🇸 Massive crash in cybersecurity stocks after Anthropic launched Claude Code Security. 🇨🇳 China is making AI free and open source, building on U.S. models for the world.

The IDF sent a shipment of boxes to Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza Each box contained a SKULL from a Palestinian They delivered dead bodies of women with their organs removed If Hamas had done this to a SINGLE Israeli, there’d be a media storm SO WHERE THE HELL ARE THE MEDIA NOW?!
Daniel Lambert@dlLambo

Everyone needs to listen to this. Jeremy Corbyn talks about a message from the director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza detailing a delivery of boxes to the hospital by the IDF. What they contained is simply demonic - it's beyond comprehension.

Everyone shares the Cantillon Effect, but... Nobody shares the Cantillon Playbook. The Cantillon Effect is simple: When new money enters an economy, whoever gets it first benefits most, and by the time it reaches everyone else, prices have already risen. It sounds bad, it sounds unfair, but it's what it is... and more importantly... If you understand the "Mechanism" for how this works, it can change everything. So the majority of new money isn't created by the Fed. It's created by commercial banks through lending. Just compare the total assets of commercial banks to the total assets of the Fed. It's not even close. And this changes everything, because... The "Level 1" on the Cantillon chain isn't some shadowy central bank. It's Chase or Bank of America. The bank you already have an account with. Here's the actual sequence: → Commercial banks create new money by issuing credit → Those with collateral borrow first and acquire assets at today's prices → Asset prices rise as credit expands → Consumer prices follow → Wages adjust last, after purchasing power has already declined The Fed's own data shows the result: - The top 10% hold nearly 90% of equities - The bottom 50% hold roughly 1% But... what almost everyone misses is: "Everyone has access to bank credit, and almost everyone uses it." The difference is what they use it for. Most people use credit to finance depreciating assets like cars, furniture, and credit card balances on things that lose value the moment you swipe. But the top of the Cantillon chain uses credit to acquire appreciating assets — and borrows against those assets to acquire more. The collateral compounds. The debt gets repaid in cheaper dollars. It's the same banks and the same credit system. But with completely different outcomes. The Cantillon Effect isn't something that happens to you from above. You're already inside the system. The only question is which side of the bank's lending you're on. Understanding this won't change the system. But it might change how you use it. ------ h/t @jameslavish for his Cantillon post, just wanted to add how to use it to your advantage
