Monday's POTD has been posted early. You can guess what hand it is about. It is unlocked and free for all. puntoftheday.com/p/potd-261

@bp22 @AnthropicAI Quite possible they’re operating near capacity. Compute and demand tend to reconcile slowly.

Starting to doubt @AnthropicAI future growth. Several api issues may point to significant demand, but also may point to an inability to meet that demand.

@Uncommonsince76 Hey @grok is this real? It seems hard to believe that these men would admit to rape on camera, is this actually legitimate?

British Guy- “Do you think about the consequences of rape?” African guy- “Yeah we think about that. What if she screams and wakes someone up?” British guy- “No. I’m talking about abuse of the girl.” African guy- “Yeah we might get STD’s….” 😳 😳

Anyone up for a no caffeine bet for the month of April? Would like to bet 5k or more. Have to be a regular caffeine consumer. I've found this habit is a hard one to kick, even temporarily.

This is Breuer. He's here to let you know it's National Puppy Day. Doesn't know what that means but hopes it involves snacks. 12/10

I'm working on a NLH Heads-Up series for the @PokerGOTour and need the experts to weigh in. It will be a 32-player cap, and buy-ins are $3k, $5k, and then $10k. Shot clock will be in play. ⏰Should we do number of hands per level or set time per level? 📈 Should hands or time for levels increase when you advance to next round?

Tfw you’re reluctant to overexplain for fear of sounding condescending, but the inferential path isn’t shared and it lands as a non sequitur.

Longevity/biohacking enthusiasts living in a high-pollution environment like Dubai are a good example of how branding and lifestyle aesthetics can override basic reasoning. Anyway, happy to have my VO2 max back up. :)

@SamGreenwoodRIO I was inviting the anti-coinflippers you exiled to the cash streets, but if you want a seat, who am I to object? :)

My thoughts on "avoiding flips". Don't do it!

. @padspoker recently posted a tweet asking how often a good player busts poker tournaments Bluffing / Coolered / Bad Beat / Losing a flip / Calling off dead. The most common response amongst top pros was: losing a flip is 40-60% of their bust outs.

Claude just made the boxes in Newcomb’s paradox transparent because I added an argument for one-boxing. Lol, no!

If you accept that brains are biological information-processing systems, and that sentience confers moral status, you need an argument for why artificial nervous systems couldn’t qualify. Not just discomfort with the idea.

@padspoker I do think she should have been more careful with her wording. Claiming a definitive security risk without the technical knowledge to back it up is irresponsible. (And this is coming from someone who has their own criticisms of Coin.)

I’ve taken the last couple hours myself to read everything back (I was rage posting earlier with 20 tables in the background - do not recommend) Reading back everything now I think you were in your right and you were looking after the communities best interests by posting what you did. The facts ended up being that nobody was effected, no balances tampered with, nobody had anything stolen however the facts remain that there was potential vulernabilities. I think I was triggered by the initial language but that’s not really an excuse. You shouldn’t have to apologise for what you said initially and I shouldn’t have been aggressive against that too. Asking to get your 10 closest friends invoked was just ego driven from my side and I know deep down that’s never going to happen obviously. Unnecessary virtual signaling. FWIW I think she’s a great ambassador for the game both on the table (not angling granny’s) and online (sketches along with Big Li are the best in the business) I read more into the charity we invested in today and I’ll be playing the CoinPoker main event and will donate 100% of what I win there to the charity. I’ll give it my all. Keep doing you & sorry.

I take my platform in poker very seriously. I don’t promote slots, table games or sports betting. I don’t pump out soulless short form slop, buy engagement or use AI to make content in any capacity. I don’t associate with people or entities that don’t align with my values & if I’m made aware of bad behavior in existing relationships, I sever ties. Yesterday it was brought to my attention that were serious vulnerabilities with the CoinPoker software being discussed in a private discord for HS cheating. If all the other concerned citizens want to leave me holding the bag, that’s fine. I can take the heat. I won’t be apologizing for acting in good faith to protect my followers. I’m glad CoinPoker acted quickly to resolve the issues, & their swiftness is admirable. But to say there was never a problem & call for me to apologize is not something I’m gonna take lying down. I am currently not employed by any poker site or media outlet & had no financial motivation behind my actions. If you want proof that there were vulnerabilities in the initial launch of the desktop application, I invite you to read the thread linked below. twoplustwo.com/Discussion-of-…

“Trust your gut” is useful advice, but the gut is a sensitivity alarm, not a verdict. It reacts to uncertainty, asymmetry, subtle cues. It’s probabilistic risk detection, not proof of someone’s character.
