Awww, life... His mother has granted an interview👇😭
Edwin Gyimah’s mother reveals: He sold his houses and luxury cars in South Africa and Ghana when life started beating him.
The mother of former Black Stars defender Edwin Gyimah has claimed that her son once owned several properties and luxury vehicles but was forced to sell them all when hardship hit.
According to her, Gyimah previously had a major property in Accra and other assets outside Ghana.
“He built a bigger multi-storey house at Dodowa in Accra… He also had multiple cars. But when he fell into trouble, he sold all his properties and cars, both in Ghana and South Africa,” she stated.
She added that after those losses, the current Obuasi property (which Gyimah is now fighting to reclaim from her and his sister Felicia) became even more central. She resisted his later attempts to take control of it or sell it.

Emotional scenes as Gyimah’s sister breaks down in tears during Auntie Naa and police visit to Obuasi property
Auntie Naa and a team of police officers stormed the eight-bedroom house belonging to former Black Stars defender Edwin Gyimah in Obuasi on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, to resolve the ongoing family dispute.
“We are here at Edwin’s house in Obuasi to deal with the issue as promised,” Auntie Naa announced during the live broadcast on Oyerepa Afutuo.
Video footage from the visit showed the team first stopping at a police station, where officers joined them before proceeding to the property.
Upon arrival, Gyimah’s sister, Felicia, was seen in tears as her brother arrived with Auntie Naa’s team and the police personnel ahead of the crucial family meeting.
According to a member of Auntie Naa’s crew, the family pleaded with Edwin for more time to vacate the house.
“They begged him to give them six months before moving out, but Edwin insisted that he wants his house back immediately,” the crew member revealed.
