My boyfriend and I are planning to buy a house together after dating for 3 years. He earns significantly more than I do, so he’d be contributing about 70% of the down payment. Because of that, he wants the house to be only in his name. He says it’s just “fair” based on the numbers, but we’d both be living there, splitting bills, and building a life together. I’ve been watching a lot of relationship content about equity vs equality, and it made me realize things don’t always have to be 50/50 but this feels like I’d have no security at all. He said if we ever broke up, he’d “do the right thing,” but that doesn’t really reassure me. My friends say don’t move in unless my name is on it. His friends apparently think I’m being entitled. Now I feel stuck between trusting him and protecting myself. Is this a red flag I’m trying too hard to rationalize?

I have recently completed jury service - not ideal timing immediately after launching a national political party, but there we go. Having seen the system from the inside, I can see it needs a fundamental overhaul. The way jurors are treated by the staff and the process is appalling. Decent taxpaying men and women doing their civic duty are not properly compensated and are constantly messed around. Losing time and money. There one day, nothing happens. The next, nothing happens. It’s unclear, confusing and disrespectful to working men and women. I absolutely believe in the jury trial, and voted to defend it in Parliament. But like so much else wrong with the state, the system needs tearing apart and starting again - giving the jurors more respect and compensation. I don’t care, I don’t need the money. It’s the self-employed men and women losing thousands who I worry about. I spoke to several who were going to be significantly out of pocket. That is just wrong. Time wasted, badly planned, and put the accused at the centre of the process. Strong confirmation to me that the law is now half a cut above itself! I will be raising my experience in Parliament in the hope to improve the system. The judge’s name who demanded I attend? Rupert Lowe. You couldn’t make it up.

WELL, WELL, WELL, @Keir_Starmer. WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? In black and white. A letter from @OllyRobbins in July 2025 stating @lordmandelson WAS appointed as US Ambassador by MINISTERS. Not officials, MINISTERS. Olly Robbins has been used as a scape goat after his long career as a top civil servant. Now its his turn to tell the truth and get starmer out!! What ministers were these Keir Starmer? Have you got your lie book ready for Monday? Got the script ready? This is a national disgrace and starmer is a national security risk, due to allowing the position to be given to mandelson!! Why were you so desperate to have mandelson in the job, starmer? What does he have on you? Is their some sort of love affair? Roll on monday when you are going to be finished in parliament. There is no getting away from this one. GENERAL ELECTION NOW!! #GeneralElection #StarmerOut #ForeignOffice #parliament #PoliticalNews #lies

Just pointing out that I broke the story 7 months ago that Mandelson failed vetting from the security services and put it to Downing Street...so the idea that Downing Street only found out on Tuesday is complete nonsense. independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…

🔴 One of my mates is an anaesthetist who wanted to become a dentist. He contacted a dental school to look for a quick 2-year top-up course. ⭕️They told him his medical degree plus 7 years of experience are equivalent to one year, and he still needs another 4 years to qualify. ⭕️Why are physician assistants and ACPs allowed to have a crack at medicine with only a 2-year irrelevant MSc degree?

This is Shahid Butt. Shahid is running for political office in Birmingham, in a seat that is 91% non-white and 70% Muslim. He is set to win. Shahid also claims to be a war veteran who fought in Bosnia and Afghanistan. He wasn’t in the military. He was an ISIS terrorist.

Dear Health Secretary, You are misleading the public. You deliberately cut training post numbers this round by half, and this can be confirmed by your colleagues in NHS England/HEE. This is to exert more pressure on doctors and then, if your deal is accepted, you increase post numbers to previous year levels. Not to mention flooding the NHS with ACPs. Grow up.

Doctors trained overseas are 2.5 times more likely to be referred to the medical regulator for malpractice. It's totally insane that the NHS is prioritising overseas doctors over our most talented medical graduates. It's a terrible deal for doctors and patients alike.

My daughter has a long-standing medical condition. A blood test before Christmas flagged a problem. She can see the abnormal results on the NHS app. It took three weeks to get a GP phone appointment - to be told what she already knows (including the treatment ‘next steps’). The appointment window was “any time that day.” The call came during a university lecture. She stepped outside. It rang off before she could answer. She immediately tried to call back. No answer. No option to leave a voicemail. No option to email either - according to the website. But miss three telephone calls and you get struck off. This is also the GP surgery that gave her a blood test form with another patient’s full name, date of birth and address - and then asked her to walk 25 minutes in the dark to return it. Luckily, she has me - and I’m persistent. Many wouldn’t be - or don’t have anyone to help them navigate the system. This is what access to healthcare now looks like.

West Midlands Police capitulated to Islamists and then collaborated with them to cover it up. They knew extremists were planning to attack Jews for going to a football match, and their response was to blame and remove Jewish people instead. They presented an inversion of reality and misled a Parliamentary Committee. We have had enough of this in Britain. The Chief Constable’s position is untenable. The British Police serve the British public, not local sectarian interests.
Nick Timothy MP@NJ_Timothy

What was left of the credibility of West Midlands Police has been destroyed today. We learned earlier that their initial reason for banning Israelis from Villa Park was the danger *to* away fans *from* armed” locals. But to justify the ban they portrayed the Israelis as “uniquely violent” and military-trained. They used “intelligence” supposedly from Dutch police that has been utterly repudiated - by the Dutch police and other authorities. And when the Home Affairs Select Committee asked why the vital information about the danger *to* Israelis was kept secret, the Chief Constable ludicrously said it was because he had not been asked for it. In other words: “We won’t tell you the truth because you didn’t ask a specific question about a thing you didn’t know because we hadn’t told you.” Yes. That was his defence. He is too arrogant to resign. The Home Secretary has the power to remove him under s40 of the Police Act 1996. She should use it.

This tweet gives you an idea as to the root causes of the BMA dispute. A dispute that the government, if it had serious talks with the BMA, could easily resolve.
