The goal of these updates is to make it easier for every user to create a resume they’re confident with — while also making sure the documents make it past applicant tracking systems (ATS). At the same time, we know how time-consuming formatting can be.

Job seekers want to stand out in their resumes, often resorting to Canva templates. However, design-heavy templates sometimes make it hard for a resume to be read both by hiring managers and ATS filters (because they’re harder to parse than text).

Companies like Microsoft, Meta, and UPS have announced layoffs, affecting around 20,000 individuals. As a result, Workforce Assistance Offices will see a wave of mid-career professionals navigating sudden career pivots, which will require personalized support across many fields.

No awkwardness. No reliance on emotional factors. They can get instant, actionable feedback, and real-life scenarios.

Without AI, this often means relying on a friend for practice, which can go sideways if the friend lacks hiring experience or hasn’t been in the workforce for too long. With AI, mock interviewing is a guaranteed success because the system is already set to follow best practices.

“AI will take your job.” Not really. A person who knows how to use AI will. When Excel launched, it didn’t replace accountants. We also didn’t get rid of mathematicians when the portable calculator was invented. We just raised the bar, exactly what’s happening right now.
