The Vilcek Foundation joined a class of 7th graders for their hands-on science experience led by @BioBus, a nonprofit bringing immersive STEM education directly to schools in historically under-resourced communities. We’re proud to contribute to their important work through a $20,000 discretionary grant to help expand STEM education and mentorship programs for youth across New York City. Our open call for grants is now live through April 30! @BioBus helps K-12 students discover, explore, and pursue science. I had the opportunity to join first and second graders from P.S. 315 in Kingsbridge Heights on the BioBus while we examined different organisms under microscopes.

Watching the joy these students had while participating in hands-on learning confirms how important science education is for our youth. I am happy to be a strong supporter of the work BioBus does, not only in the Bronx, but NYC overall.
