Trump’s EPA just overturned what’s called the “endangerment finding.” This is the thing that allows the government to regulate greenhouse gases, the stuff that’s causing the planet to warm.
I could see our planet changing with my own eyes in just the 10 years between my first and last space flights. We should be working together to protect our planet for future generations, not undermining science.

I recently spoke with a constituent who was disappointed with @RepThomasMassie and @RandPaul for voting against the OBBB. I explained that I was grateful for their votes, as they seemed to only politicians looking out for the well-being of my children and future generations. Their response was deeply troubling. They said they didn’t care about the debt being placed on the next generation, as they wouldn’t be around to pay it off; it wasn’t their problem. They were glad to tax my children for their own gain. This is the attitude of many in DC. I cannot thank Rep. Massie and Sen. Paul enough for their leadership, for having a backbone, and for doing the right thing. I thank you and my children thank you. We need more like them.

Clark: The Louisiana state legislature passed a resolution condemning this bill because of the impact on Medicaid— Speaker Johnson's district, 40% of Louisianans are on Medicaid. Louisiana is a supermajority Republican. This is not easy to write off, as some woke institution that they don't believe in. They are telling us what the American people are telling us, that this is not the right thing to do.
