@BodyWoOrgans @FreedomFlaming0 Then don't campaign, organize outside of the state, build prefigured communities that aren't dependent on the government. That is how we stay safe from Fascism.

@UlyssesBungalow @FreedomFlaming0 well best i can do is my own vote and maybe talk to family and friends about it, for mass campaigning I'd actually campaign for something i believe in and not something i am presented with in the electoral system i hope you understand

@UlyssesBungalow @FreedomFlaming0 yeah but campaigning sucks and voting is easy. to win over a vote you'd have to spend a lot of effort and time better spent on anarchist prefiguration. but simply voting is pretty effortless for me not to mention mandatory

@BodyWoOrgans @FreedomFlaming0 Voting without campaigning will not lead to any desired outcome. As a singular vote is ineffective, if you want a vote to be effective, it must be a mass turnout, and the time spent on that just to make life slightly more bearable ain't worth it when we can build a new life rn.

@UlyssesBungalow yeah this is true but I'm not an inuit and i can sustain myself without harming others. it wouldn't make sense to ask people to go vegan who couldn't do so due to geographic or health restrictions

@BodyWoOrgans I consider meat consumption to be dubious in morality as I'd argue that the morality of meat depends largely on context, I would not consider the Inuit to be immoral for hunting seal in their Arctic home to sustain themselves.

@UlyssesBungalow I'd argue otherwise, but then again it's not an exhaustive reason to stop eating meat and animal products so i won't argue on this point. but the current model is definitely unsustainable and a reduction in meat consumption would be beneficial

@BodyWoOrgans Additionally, beef production in its current form is damaging to the environment, but meat consumption itself is not inherently damaging.

@UlyssesBungalow yes and eating radioactive substance is probably even worse but it's still bad. the western diet heavily involves meat and current studies show an increased risk of colorectal cancer associated with red meat consumption; with biological causation studies

@BodyWoOrgans Red meat and general is considered probably carcinogenic yes, but the evidence is limited and it is in no way on the same level as cigarettes or uv radiation. Processed meats are, but in order for this to significantly increase your risk, you need to consume a vast amount.

@Worthless6REAL it's not morality as in morality it's more of an associative word for mainstream ppl. i support things like interests in which i include others than myself including animals

@BodyWoOrgans It's hard, eating meat is easier and the "normal" I grew up eating meat and all. Then I thought like, starting with one day without meat per week, maybe

@UlyssesBungalow it's carcinogenic especially beef it's environmentally damaging as per emissions compared to plant proteins. but im vegan for moral reasons and I don't believe it to be dubious, i think it clear-cut

marxists are very sceptical of what a politician promises and writes except when it's *their" politician. Lenin in practice reinforced and promoted russian chauvinism even if he opposed it verbally. he was still better than the tsar in that respect but that's not a high bar
Zadig@piebyfour

Lenin strongly opposed the Russian chauvinism and the imperialist imposition of Russian culture, language, and dominance over non-Russian nationalities. He famously declared a "war to death on Great Russian chauvinism."
