We need to think about how to extend advocacy for the undocumented beyond the border. Though deported, they still need to get back to their families. How do we work together to achieve true #familyunity? #postdeportationadvocacy #right2return

Campaigning, @joebiden promised to address the deportation of veterans. We have yet to see real proposals outlining how. As @SenatorMenendez and @RepLindaSanchez lead the reform charge, we ask they don’t forget those who’ve had their families separated. #bringushome #right2return

The deported in Mexico range in age, language ability and experience. But, everyone has the same dream, access to blood and chosen family, freedom from persecution and the right to thrive for themselves and those they care about. #right2return #bringushome

Here is a video from @CaminamosJsma an org by and for the family of the deported. Mixed status families have often refused to be torn apart by deportation and communities throughout Mexico exist of those who have followed their undocumented family members back home.

Creating a process to return would not just improve the lives of deported migrants, but also throw a lifeline to a lost generation of children around the world. This is also family unification and should be a priority for new reform measures. #bringushome #right2return
