Yesterday I collected $316 for selling a put option and a 1-1-1 trade on $SPY Essentially I am saying I will take ownership of 100 shares $SPY at $637 and 100 shares at $636 if SPY is below that by expiration However, the 1-1-1 has a kicker, which is the $647/$642 put debit spread Since the debit spread is $5 wide, I have the chance to make that additional $5 ($500 total) in addition to the $316 collected on entry if SPY is below $642 Ideal scenario is we are between $642 and $637 by next Friday, though that is a tight gap to land in!

It wouldn’t surprise me if $META soars from here. People don’t realize how immune geopolitically $META is. In fact, their engagement has grow immensely since the war began. On top of that, Meta has been big on upselling AI services to businesses Bullish!
Moose@Brownmoose

$META Coming back down to the buying zone It went up creating a gab on Monday pre-market but its coming back retesting the trendline. Ill ill be bidding in step over this one for a potential day/weeks long Swing.

I’m honestly so tired of having to rely on LinkedIn for new job opportunities… There has to be a better way.

Cash-secured accounts can actually increase your risk (if you’re not careful). They restrict you to trades your account can fully cover. That sounds safer… But in practice, it often pushes traders into lower-priced, higher-beta stocks just to generate meaningful premium. ⸻ Here’s what I mean 👇 In volatile, uncertain markets, I prefer sticking with: • $SPY • $QQQ • $IWM Why? Because they offer: • Lower single-name risk • Massive liquidity • More stable price behavior vs single name small caps ⸻ Now let’s look at cash-secured selling: Selling a 1-week $SPY put might require ~$60K+ in capital… …to collect maybe $100–$200. That’s a very low return on capital. ⸻ So what do most traders do? They move down market cap… Into cheaper, higher-beta names to boost premium. And that’s where risk can quietly increase. ⸻ This is where margin (Reg T) changes the game. Instead of posting full notional value, you might only need a fraction of the capital. Example: A $SPY put might require ~$8K–$10K in buying power instead of $60K+ (see example below) Now your return on capital improves significantly — while staying in a lower-beta product. ⸻ But here’s the key reality check ⚠️ Margin does NOT reduce actual risk. It increases: • Leverage • Potential losses • Margin call risk ⸻ The real takeaway: Cash-secured accounts aren’t inherently safer. They can concentrate you into riskier tickers. And margin accounts aren’t inherently riskier either… —but they require discipline.

@CPSellsOptions You cannot receive a margin call with a CSP. The collateral in most brokers are strike price minus collected premium. You can lose your money if the stock goes below your stk price minus premium, and even going to zero. None of these two situations would generate a margin call.

While rolling is an essential skill, it requires an extra level of tracking. I got tired of tracking rolls, adjustments, assignment, etc. myself. That’s why I built @RollTrackr, the ultimate options tracking tool. Check it out today 👇🏻 Rolltrackr.com

🔟 Long-Term Reality Rolling isn’t failure. It’s position management. It’s how premium sellers: • Survive volatility • Stay mechanical • Compound consistently If you sell options and don’t understand rolling properly… You’re leaving one of your biggest advantages on the table.
