Our community bee garden on the A6 is all decked out ready for the Coronation weekend! One of our members knitted the little crowns and made the flags. Three people stopped and commented on the display whilst they were putting it up. Nothing like a national celebration.

Did you know you can attend our WI up to 3 times as a visitor? It is only £4 a visit to try us, you can come and experience a meeting before deciding whether to sign up. Tonight’s speaker is Dr Bev Taylor who is a menopause expert. Of course, there will also be lots of cake 😁

Today was the first day of the St George’s Christmas Tree Festival, our entry is called A Warm Christmas. There is also information about the warm spaces available in Stockport this winter. All items will be donated when the festival has finished. stockport.gov.uk/warm-spaces

When we're in #edgeley on 26 November, there are also #Christmas events at St Matthews Church and York St Community Centre, both round the corner from Castle Street. Make a day of it and come to visit us all

Did you know Stockport has its own Canal Street? Unfortunately, it's not as well loved as it's Manchester namesake... the street is a regular haunt for fly-tippers and scruffs who litter. We're fed up, so are doing something about it. Join us on Sunday (12-3pm) if you can.

Have you ever noticed the community bee garden that some of our members look after? It is on the A6 at the crossroads of Longshut Lane West and Wellington Road South. Today a couple of our members have added homemade poppies to the garden for Remembrance Day.

Friday night, it’s disco bingo night! Doors 7:30pm for 8pm start @WalthewHouse £5 per bingo card Prizes for a line, 2 lines and a full house! Women only - come and have a fab night! We dance, we sing and we bingo!

Our charity will be proudly walking in the parade this Sunday for @StockportPride and we will have a stall in the Market Place - please come and say hello to our staff and volunteers! 🌈 👋
