I think this mega aerodactyl core with sylveon and gambit wasn't bad at all. Great tourney btw, that toxapex was nasty.

@SnoozeVGC End yeah, bulky waters can be annoying but with conkeldurr and blastoise u should be good, even glimm, just trade dmg and do not let‘em set for free.

@Castillo11VGC I’ve played your team for about 20-30 games and I’ve noticed it’s really struggling VS mega scizor and Incin intimidate cycling, as well as bulky water set up like coil milotic. Ect. I’m also struggling to get TR set up without blastoise just taking a shit ton of damage.

@SnoozeVGC Are u struggling against inci intimidate cycle and mega scizor with blastoise, glimm, conkeldurr and fari? No matter if blastoise get dmg, get the tr up is ur wincon, the turtle just make that possible, don't expect to win all the matches with a water spout spam.

@deoxsus19289 Against gengar just lead blastoise and fari, gengar falls when the 2 pokes he is facing put pressure on him, against sinistcha just trade dmg and set tr, dark pulse usually do more dmg than matcha gotcha, if u lose blastoise isn’t a big deal cuz sylveon get a clean switch.

@deoxsus19289 Blastoise-conkeldurr with fari and something on the back depending on the opposing team, if there’s corvi u bring glimm, if theres some dragon type u bring sylveon, if there’s both and the dragon is chomp u bring sylveon, if not u bring glimm to the match.

@xibolun2 Against sylveon-scov (with arch, espathra and friends), u need to create dmg since turn 1 with blastoise-sylveon/glimm, then just wait to set tr, against floette good stuff (inci, sinistcha, aegis) set tr up and try to clean floette’s partners, isolate the flower for scizor.

@xibolun2 Against floette u can set tr up and sacrifice blastoise or switch in sylveon and play from there trying to defead scizor counters waiting patiently for scizor. Against maushold-garde trade dmg with scizor and fari, make ur opponent uncomfortable, u can set tr too.

@xibolun2 Is very easy tbh, usually u want to lead fari-blastoise almost every match to get the TR up, against zard Y-fari u need glimm-blastoise/sylveon to trade dmg, against tr teams u lead blastoise-sylveon, if u see gambit u bring conkeldurr in (against zard too), it’s very intuitive.

I think it's a good warm up to start strong when Champions comes out on mobile!

@itsshinydelta Well, steelix beats floette so it already counter nearly 50% of the meta but is great against M-froslass, M-Aero, even against M-Venu and last but no least, with wide guard and T-tar is annoying for most of the zard-Y compos, so yeah, is pretty good, A tier at least.

@Castillo11VGC Generally against the meta, do you think Steelix has good matchup spreads or no?

I didn't have it on my radar until someone tweeted that they were top 1 with it (I was more of an Aggron guy) but analyzing it well, Mega Steelix in Sand is currently the closest thing to Mega Metagross. pokepast.es/e9078cc3958b76…

I could have played some games better, but it's not bad as my first experience with Primal Orthworm.

I added kommo-o for the sun MU and volc so that the entire burden of facing fairies wouldn't fall on steelix since I don't have sneasler. Volc also gives me other ways to deal with those annoying grass/steel/ice types.
