It was an unique experience for our Mandarin students to learn how to create a calligraphy artwork from a well-known local artist Mike Mei. Mr. Mei has presented more than 30 solo shows at Harvard University, NYC, and Chicago. His artworks has been exhibited in Peabody Museum.

I was overjoyed to receive emails from two of my graduated Mandarin students, one sharing with me her lunch today for Moon Festival, and the other one telling me that she takes Mandarin 5 days a week. The simple "I miss you" at the end made me feel so warm inside.

Scoring intermediate high in all reading, listening, speaking, and writing in Mandarin is really challenging, but our Mandarin 4 students made it with passion, effort, and perseverance. Congratulations!👏

More Generals from my Mandarin 4 classes will be earning their Seal of Billiteracy: Winter Baird, Julia Tsappis, Alfie Chien, Ephram Adler, Eric Hutchinson, Sofia Ryan, Finn Tratnyek and Celia Coleman. Mandarin is challenging but it's achievable! Congrats and so proud of you!

Mamdarin 3 Ss learned how to make homemade Boba tea in class. Hopefully, this can save them some trips to "Gong Cha" to get Boba tea that they love ❤️.

Finally got some time to post pictures of our Chinatown field trip. My students had so much!They got so many compliments from the store owners, other customers and Chinatown residents. One shopper said to my students " You Mandarin is better than me! " Go Generals!

Boston Chinatown trip with our Mandarin 4 &5 students was super fun. I'm very proud that they could order food and drinks from bakeries, boba tea stores, and the restaurant in fluent Mandarin. The students couldn't stop telling me how great the trip was on our way back!
