@OUFCOfficial Everybody at Middleton Cheney FC sends our sincerest condolences to Amelia Aplin’s family and to everyone at Oxford United FC at this very difficult time.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of 15-year-old Academy player, Amelia Aplin. Amelia collapsed during a Girls’ Academy game against Fulham at the Club’s Training Centre in Horspath yesterday afternoon. The thoughts and sincere condolences from everyone at Oxford United are with Amelia’s family, friends, teammates and coaches. We would like to place on record our appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff at both Oxford United and Fulham Football Club, along with the emergency services. The Club will offer support to Amelia’s family, players, coaches and staff impacted by this tragic event. We would ask that the family’s privacy is respected at this incredibly difficult time.

So our U14’s Girls were made to travel to @SummertownL Ladies Owls this morning only for the game to last 5 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch. Why do coaches & clubs keep doing this 🤷‍♂️ What a waste of time and cost this morning has been for our U14 Girls & parents. @OMGFL

This Sunday 7th Sept sees our inaugural Girls Football Tournament taking place at Astrop Road, Middleton Cheney. Under 8’s, 12’s & 14’s teams will be taking part so come and join the fun. See below for details 👇

Last night we held another Emergency Life Saving Event delivered by @scacharity where our coaches, members of the community, @middleton_cc & Parish Council came together to learn how to perform effective CPR & the use a Defibrillator in the event of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.❤️💙

Today our clubs players & coaches joined the Middleton Cheney Remembrance Day Parade with players from our boys and girls team laying the Club Wreath at the War Memorial. We will remember them.

Busy night at training under the floodlights for our Under 11 Lionesses and Under 12’s & 15’s boys teams. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Great final week of preparation for our teams before the season opener this weekend with 10 of our 16 teams all training at Chenderit School on Wednesday night with 150 boys and girls, 23 coaches in attendance and lots of supportive parents. ⚽️🙌
