@Coinvo If no one stays in their country to fight for change, we’re just going see good countries slowly go away as they become inundated with refugees they cannot support.

@ChikeMD @Joe_brendan_ Lagos government collected money from dangote and did not share fair amounts to the locals whose lands they acquired. Locals lose either way

Let me tell you why places like this cannot be developed even if you have the money to do so - The villagers and community leaders will not let you - The villagers and community leaders will drain you and threaten to attack your business every week - The villagers and community leaders will use your business as salary - You will get robbed every week - There are no roads in and out that are good In summary The Lagos coastline is what it is today because for some reasons, they welcome people and leave them there to do business You will never see that in any south south state. I am from a coastline village. BUA is trying to build a refinery in my place, but the villagers have frustrated the hell out of him that he shut down the project many times and was to leave Dangote built a refinery in Lagos and the process was smooth Other parts of Nigeria need to look inwards. Most investments and growth goes to Lagos because it is conducive

When I was residing in Abuja, I dreamed of capturing and showcasing Nigeria’s idyllic coastal clime, especially my home state, Bayelsa. Today, I am happy, fulfilled to have reached that dream. This is Brass Island.

If any of you ever become president and are considering me for any cabinet appointments, just hand me the Ministry of Sports. Yes, I want to be Minister of Sports. I have some unorthodox ideas I need to implement, and genuinely believe I’d outperform 99% of Nigerians in that role. Give me just 3–4 years and I’ll turn the entire ministry around and start producing global talent. Just try me and see. Second choice would probably be the Ministry of Education.

My mom used to say if you're showing cleavage always wear a necklace or pendant to give people a chance to say "cool necklace" if you catch them staring. This lesson applies to everything in life-- always give people an out. When people feel embarrassed, even if it's their fault, they subconsciously hate you

What country does not have Jail? Netherlands. Apparently, The Netherlands does have jails, but it has closed dozens of them due to a significantly declining prison population. Instead of a "no jail" system, the country focuses on rehabilitation, shorter sentences, and non-custodial alternatives like electronic monitoring. As a result, some vacant prisons have been repurposed into hotels, housing, or schools.

@Ayoolafelix I prefer to look at issues from a responsibility standpoint. Apportioning blame/fault does little more than make us feel good briefly. Responsibility is where the power lies. PS: Almost everything you can fault their generation for, you can also fault others for.

@ChikeMD This is valid, although I'll say it's still their fault, most of society don't really stand for anything that's why they need leaders to tell them what to do and that generation has no leader

The south eastern part of Nigeria should literally be the richest in the whole of Nigeria. As a Yoruba man I can't believe they have all that scenery, oil and water ways and they still got through all that hardship. They can easily dethrone Lagos I hope they come together and fix up, maybe I don't need to travel and spend so much to travel to other countries for a simple vacation.

@Ayoolafelix In summary, there are young people today who support this generation of leaders that we like to say ruined the country. And that is why I know that it is not so much about the generation.

My point is even the very few who are well schooled still hold such backward mindset. How much more those who have little to no education. Plus today, we have the benefit of hindsight. I think now is a better time to make the country better than back then. Most countries benefiting from their choices 50 years ago were making bets. Today those choices wont be bets, they will be almost certain. The evidence is clear.

@Ayoolafelix I think the summary of my argument is that there are young people today who support this generation of leaders that we like to say ruined the country. And that is why I know that it is not so much about the generation.
