I’ve always loved Twitter, & many #F1 fans have been kind enough to tell me that they enjoy my #OnThisDay posts, my hire car review videos etc. But sadly it’s become an increasingly vile cesspit of random unprovoked hate speech lately, as the New York Times reports today. (1/2)

Christian Horner is tarnishing F1. Red Bull broke the rules but Horner says criticism is affecting the mental health of the team. This is a blatant deflection technique but also trivialises the difficulties of people with real mental health problems

As expected @redbullracing's penalty is a reduction in aero testing. As champions they were due to get 70%, (relative to the mean of 100), and that has been cut by 10%, so they now have 63%. Hope that makes sense. Plus a $7m fine.

Saw Arron Sr this evening. His eyes opened. First time I’ve seen them in over a week.
There have been complications, but he’s doing much better now than was hoped just a few days ago. We’ll take that.
