@CloudlessOne

he/him. Mostly sports, sometimes video games. Do my friends hate me or do I just need to go to sleep?

This was the 2-2 pitch, called a ball, just before Isaac Paredes got a go-ahead 2-run double. Could have been strike three to end the inning The Angels are now down 9-6.

@victorthigpen24 @RomeovilleKid You’re missing the point. They’re pros once they enter college should be treated like pros. They’re getting huge contracts, sponsorship deals, etc.

@CloudlessOne @RomeovilleKid What percentage of kids that do this do you actually think become pros? No way it’s higher than like 3% and it’s probably more like 0.1%

@RomeovilleKid Every player signs based on what teams will pay, not what fans think value is. Seahawks took a chance on Darnold last year, any team could take a chance on Jones. He’s not gonna take a pay cut to play for the colts if another team is gonna pay significantly more.

Eh, that *sounds* good, but you’re viewing it as a fan and not as a player. DJ played on a broken leg for the Colts and then subsequently tore his Achilles for them. Why on earth should he be willing to give them a discount? He’s already given more than most players would.
Keeno@KendrickJo76286

@RomeovilleKid I guess I’m just cut different because if I know I’m broken and damaged goods why would I try to ask for the Max? I want him gone.

I don’t know, man. I’d rather be unknown than known for this. Googling Kid Rock was very enlightening. … Emphasis on “kid.”

@atioberoi With a smaller sample size and on a rookie deal. we got excited about DJ looking great for a few games (like he always does) before falling back down to earth (like he always does). AR going 8-9 would have been been better for the franchise than DJ going 8-9

@kylegoon Schefter represents the worst part of sports entertainment to me. Cares way more about the drama and storylines than the games themselves. 7 points here, only 2 about the actual game scores.

Mike McCarthy’s father, Joe, was a firefighter and Pittsburgh Police Department officer who also owned Joe McCarthy’s Bar and Grill. Mike was raised a Steelers fan — and beat them in Super Bowl XLV. Now, a true Yinzer could come home to pursue the franchise’s next Lombardi.

The Steelers have now scheduled an interview this week with Super Bowl-winning coach Mike McCarthy, per sources. A Pittsburgh native, McCarthy has won 60.4% of his games with 12 playoff trips in 18 seasons. He would be the first offensive-minded Steelers HC in the modern era.

I’ve also tried to mature in the “performative” versus “productive” line of questioning. Last year, I asked Chris Ballard if he “earned another opportunity or if it was given to him?” But how the heck is he supposed to answer that? It was a “tough” but useless question.

To tell a millionaire who lost a football game to keep his head up? Liam Coen will be OK. Also, does this approval of the pep talk only apply when you’re the surprise turnaround team? You all would want me fired if I tried to give the Colts a pep talk after collapsing.

The Eagles disgusted me all season, honestly. They play football like they’re allergic to each other on the field. Zero chemistry.

Honestly, I feel like it’s very rare for Josh Allen to lay an egg and that includes the playoffs. He’s often been at his best and still lost for reasons that are beyond his control.

@RomeovilleKid MVP tends to travel (less in the NFL than the NBA), but Allen feels like he should always be in the conversation. If you’re consistently a top 3(?) QB season in season out, you’re probably the best.
