6’3 Pg/CG @torrin_andrews out of Lander University (D2, Peach Belt) has 1 year of D1 eligibility left (Juco waiver). He has heard from: Saint Peters Torrin was my first recruit at Lander. I have nothing but great things to say about Torrin. Torrin is a winner and does a ton of things that contribute to winning. Torrin is tough as nails and can score it from all 3 levels. Solid, fluent ball handler; has hang and skip to his step. Use’s his off hand swipe. High level shooter from 3 with perfect mechanics: makes spots/relocations, hang and dribble pickup 3’s, shot fake side step 3’s, handoff 3’s, unders and pullbacks on ball screens, and transition pulls. Has a stop and pop 1, 2 mid off action and in space, punch dribble mids, snatch mids, and bump off mids. Has touch on his float. Has scoop/extend out and veer finishes off 1 and 2. Multiple Pivot finishes off 2. Rondo stride stop turnaround/pivot finishes. Solid feel: sees the roll on ball screens, able to hit throwback hook over shoulder passes, sees kick-outs, looks off drop-off passes, zips passes to cutters, and sees OPP skips. Able to manipulate ball screens and handoffs; rescreen cadence and patience, can hostage, and knows how to probe and snake a drop. Really showed his feel this year having to play a ton of PG. Knows how to cut. Defensive Fit: I was very proud of how far Torrin came this year defensively. Guards 1’s and 2’s best. Tough enough to fight if switched onto largers. Capable of Getting skinny and thru action. Rebounds it well. Does a ton of winning stuff. Will sacrifice his body. 9.3 ppg | 3.2 apg (4th in PBC) | 2.6 rpg | 48% FG | 41% 3PT Shot 45/93 48% from 3 in 2023/24
