I am sick to death of it.
Day after day, Muslims are demonised, smeared, scapegoated and treated as fair game by politicians, media establishments and professional outrage merchants chasing clicks, votes and attention.
They pour fuel on fear and division, then suddenly discover their silence when ordinary Muslims are attacked by a man with a machete, simply for being muslim.
What happened in Edinburgh is exactly why so many of us have been sounding the alarm for years. Anti-Muslim hatred doesn't emerge from nowhere. It grows in an environment where hate and prejudice is normalised, rewarded and amplified.
Enough. Absolutely enough.
Muslims should not have to live with the constant message that they are suspects in their own country, outsiders in their own communities, or targets for someone else's political project.
The people stoking this hostility need to answer for the climate they are helping to create.

No one should face violence on our streets. The suspect appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. I will not tolerate this - he will face the full force of the law.

This is the best video I’ve seen showing Karmelo Anthony murder Austin Metcalf.
The footage is not good enough to completely see what happened, but the video does CONFIRM a few things.
1. There was no long fight leading up to the stabbing.
2. No one ganged up on Karmelo.
3. Karmelo is a coward.
4. This was cold blooded murder.
Last but not least, 35 years is NOT enough.
