@Sophie_Mokoena This should have been done before the trophy was taken to Senegal. I agree that the Senegalese action was uncalled for and deserved to be punished but looking at the effect of CAF's decision now the organisation should have dealt with the matter differently.

CAF’s Appeal Board has declared Morocco as the winner of the AFCON Cup. Senegal Football Association has rejected the ruling. What’s your reaction? Let’s talk my fellow Africans.

@Berthamwonzora Remorse, goes with confession. There's no such before the Court and as it stands the two are just accused persons.

Whoever’s dressing Bellarmine Mugabe and his coaccused needs to bring them proper formal clothing. These men are nearly 30 and bringing them in front of a judge in Ben Ten clothing (no matter how expensive) for such a serious, high profile case their current dressing can be subconsciously seen as a sign of arrogance or a lack of remorse.

Its quite clear that this thing was cooked in the higher offices, coming up with the plan of proving that Chatunga Mugabe was living in South Africa illegally he has to be deported to Zimbabwe, where obvious he won't face any legal charges. Well played by corrupt politicians.

Naledi Aphiwe Apologises to Zimbabwean People After Negative Comment She Made Award-winning singer Naledi Aphiwe has apologised to Zimbabweans following a comment she made on social media which did not sit well with them. This stems from a negative remark she made where she described how South Africa was experiencing an influx of Zimbabweans and suggested they should consider moving back to their country of origin. On Tuesday, Naledi Aphiwe, whose real name is Naledi Aphiwe Mnyongwane, wrote a statement clarifying her position on that particular comment and apologised to Zimbabweans. "Social media never forgets, and I've been reminded of a comment I made a few months ago. I want to address it properly instead of ignoring it. First, I want to make it clear that my words were never meant to disrespect Zimbabweans or come from a place of hate. I understand that intentions don't always translate well online, and I can see how what I said may have hurt or offended people. For that, I sincerely apologise. "I am still young and I'm constantly growing, learning, and understanding the weight that words can carry, especially on social media. I don't claim to be perfect, and when I make mistakes, I believe in owning them and learning from them. This has definitely been a moment of reflection for me. Please don't misunderstand my heart or define me by one comment." Naledi said her comment was not deeply rooted in negativity. "I respect people from all backgrounds, and I would never intentionally spread hate. I hope we can move forward with understanding and give each other grace. I genuinely wish peace for everyone involved – one love," she said.

The defence is likely to argue that the obstruction of justice charge is being fabricated because the alleged murder weapon has not been recovered. They may contend that without a weapon, the attempted murder charge cannot be sustained. Additionally, they could question the basis for charging two individuals with attempted murder if a single bullet was discharged. The key issue would be determining who actually fired the shot — and whether there is sufficient evidence to attribute that act to one or both accused.

The Mugabe boys thought that hiding the gun would kill the case; not knowing that they were adding another charge of defeating the ends of justice.

@Sentletse It is like you have already trialed the accused and found him guilty already. At least let's agree that the State is embarking on a fishing expedition. How can possessing a firearm be crime?

Without having read todays record the Criminal Lawyer in me asks regards the case S v Berllamine Mugabe & Ano how do you prove I hid the firearm ? 🤔 You allege I fired it yes ? You further allege I concealed it solely because you have not recovered it Kanjani Mfenthu ? On what prima facie basis does absence become obstruction ? Therefore I would make an application for exception to the charge of ' obstruction ' as vague and embarrassing Together with the co-accused, does the State suggest joint physical discharge ? We put our fingers together on the fire arm and shot at the target ? How ? My Court room drama musings

@TheBigCharlatan @RexMidzi Who fired a shot? No one knows the SaPS just arrested everyone who happened to be at the scene of the crime when they arrived. Perhaps he got hit by a stray bullet.

@3nocent @SABCNews True questions were just misplaced....Can you really expert a defence lawyer to tell you where the gun is??? Like really! The fact that the gun is missing will actually build a strong case 4 the defence so noway a defence lawyer will tell you where it is even if he knows..

In Masvingo, folks on the streets are happy with the proposed Constitutional Amendments…. They are particularly happy that there will be LESS ELECTIONS… And one gentleman emphasised that the MPs electing the President will be chosen by them… It’s only Biti & other UNPOPULAR folks who are against these common sense proposals… It’s MORE ABSURD when it’s ZANU PF folks opposing the Amendments…

@tapfuma_c @HeraldZimbabwe @grok It means their convictions and sentences were correct and there is no reasonable prospects of success should their matters be heard at SCA. However, the duo can still petition the SCA meaning seeking the indulgence of that Court directly.
