To no one in particular Let me stand on something for a second and then im officially done. Please refer to this post from now on Yes…I have seen the viral video I was coaching the athlete. We lost the race. Period. But what that video doesn’t show…. Skylar Hudnall responded by setting a conference record in the 5k and walked down the favorite coming in in the same fashion without the theatrics. The record he set winning was an almost 90 SECOND personal best. Skylar also ran one of the fastest miles in the history of the SWAC two weeks earlier in 4:07.89. Which is the best our program has seen maybe ever. Skylar is an excellent, hardworking student as well. He’s a great teammate and all his teammates respect and love him no matter where they come from and what their skin color is. This is Skylar’s SECOND HBCU he chose coming from W Virginia State. Skylar has the support of his teammates and his coach (Me) without question. Our staff believes in him. Skylar’s coach (Me) doesn’t have much experience with distance running and is figuring it out every day (shout out to my UW guys that have contributed). He still shows up and trusts the process. I could care less what your color, socioeconomic background, or whatever we use to separate us is. If you work like this young man does, treat people with respect, act like an adult, and work to graduate….I WILL COACH YOU. I have tremendous respect for Garfield and his program. We take the L in the mile like we took the W in the 5k. With respect for all who competed. This is a lesson for our program and the young people. Social media is full of people with comments and no context. The vast majority of them cant do what any of these athletes do daily. So all yall that have liked, commented, shared, and laughed….we remain unbothered. We moved on after the race and focused on the 5k. In the words of Deion You didn’t make us You can’t break us I’m proud to have him with us FITFO

Mannnnn. Thank yall for the love. For real!!! Yesterday I had daddy duties that came before album release celebrations. Today I got my old civic (with the brand new engine) a tour bus and some sprinters. In the trunk of my car is boxes of The Fall-Off CD’s. As a teenager I had copies of the Fayettenam Bommuh’s album that Nervous gave me to sell. I used to go up to the gas stations trying to sell the album to strangers “yo you like hip hop??” Was the beginning of the sales pitch. When I was working on this album I had the desire to go feel that feeling again, and that’s what I’m about to do. Trunk Sale Tour 26!! I don’t know where we bout to drive to, but catch me outside! Cop a CD from me or just show love. I truly appreciate all the love and the reaction to the music.
