Solo-building a real LA dentist directory in public. 598 dentists, on Claude Code + Supabase. The wins, costs, and flops, daily. Day one, near-zero traffic.

Tell me your LA neighborhood and I'll reply with the highest-rated dentist on the directory.
Beverly Hills, Encino, El Segundo, Silver Lake, Studio City, go.

I'm doing a Build in Public series for a dentist directory in LA. It's going to help both the customers and the dentist in the area. I'm going to make a promise to make it ad free forever. That way it's a very clean, smooth, design forward experience. I do need some eyes on it though to test. Let me know if there are any pitfalls that you see and try to break anything. Check it out and let me know what you think. go.thecopperfern.com/replies

@siya_twt_ I was a plumber for the longest time and I don't think AI is going to be able to replace that for a long time but maybe they can come up with an AI poo sniffer??

@0xPrajwal_ I think there's a time and place for both but session is definitely easier to maintain. Check out my project and let me know which one you would recommend that I use. Maybe you have a better opinion.

@muskaan___07 I'll definitely recommend Reddit to everyone. It's the greatest because it's moderated, friendly, community-driven. Also if you're searching for something, if you include the word reddit at the end of it, you'll get very good responses.

@droidbuilds Ha ha, that has to be the greatest feeling for WinRar and the worst feeling for the client when they realize it's absolutely useless to pay for

@rdbuilds7 I'm trying to get some initial traffic and eyes on my new project. It's a dental directory specifically for LA. Ad-free, high value, and will help the dentists and the residents of LA. Check it out and see if you can break anything. Go.thecopperfern.com/replies

I'm doing a build in public series on a dentist directory in LA. It's going to help both the residents of LA and the dentists in the area get found and actually have real reviews and ratings. I want to make a promise that this will be ad-free and have this directory provide a lot of value. Let me know what you think and see if you can break anything. Go.thecopperfern.com/replies

I've made my digital product completely FREE for the time being! I want you to try it and get value from it. Grab it here: selar.com/uh1sybm448 If you download and use it, please leave an honest review, it helps a ton and lets me know what you think. Appreciate you all!

Digital products don't care if you're sleeping. They can still sell. But most people still won't take advantage of it. I broke the entire process down inside my digital product. Link in bio. 📚💰 selar.com/uh1sybm448

Open question for the builders, devs, and creators here.
I'm a solo dev shipping an LA dental directory in public. The whole thing runs on a deliberately small stack:
• Claude Code for the building
• Supabase for the database, auth, and storage
• GitHub + Hostinger for version control and push-to-main deploys
• Typefully for this feed
That's it. Every tool on that list had to earn its spot by saving me more time than it cost me to learn it.
But I know I'm missing things. There's a whole category of tools I've never tried, simply because I never had a reason to, until someone whose work I respect says "this one's actually different."
So, two questions:
1. What's in your stack right now that genuinely earns its keep? Not the hyped one. The one you'd be annoyed to lose.
2. Is there a tool you've been curious about but haven't had time to test? Drop it here. I'll put it through a real build on the directory and post an honest review: what it's good at, where it lied to me, whether it's worth the money.
No affiliate links, no sponsorships. Just a solo builder kicking the tires so you don't have to.
What should I test first?

I didn't hand-write the dentist search.
I described it to Claude Code — "filter 598 profiles by neighborhood, specialty, insurance, instant" — and watched it wire the query, the UI, and the empty states in one pass.
Then I spent the real time fixing the 10% it got wrong. That ratio is the whole job now.

You can make $3,000/month using Claude to build Digital assets.
It’s boring... but if you start today, you could make $3,000 by the end of July.
I’ll send you a free training showing exactly how to do it.
Just like this post and comment “Claude.”
