I’ve had to make a somewhat sad decision regarding the Bloxburg Elf Hunt this year. 📜‼️
In previous years, I’ve welcomed more than a thousand viewers to my Elf Hunt streams concurrently. AshleyTheUnicorn and I were virtually the only two streamers when it first began years and years ago. She would have thousANDS of viewers at any given moment during the hunt.
I don’t believe Ashley still streams the Elf Hunt which makes RoBuilds the most popular Elf Hunt streamer this year. She averages 200-300 concurrent views from what I’ve seen. I don’t say that to take a hit on her, she may very well agree with me, but that is a drastic drop from what not Robuilds, but the event itself used to pull in on YouTube and other platforms. Basically, the event is not what it used to be in terms of content creators’ ability to capture interest.
I don’t know if its because bloxburg has gotten statistically less popular every year, because the Elf Hunt is the same and people just don’t do it anymore, or maybe just because people like to find the elf themselves, but what I can tell you definitely is that people are not looking to YouTube (or maybe at all) anywhere near the amount they used to.
Views on Elf Hunt streams are way down. I looked up the 9th Bloxburg Elf on TikTok which totaled to around no more than maybe 2-3000 likes. Views on Elf Hunt YouTube videos are way down compared to past years. It is no longer sustainable. This goes along with a bigger trend on bloxburg about player count but thats already been discussed in depth and I don’t feel there is any more to be said on that note.
Any streamer will tell you that it is an exhausting job, and when people like Kai Cenat say it’s harder than a 9-5 it sounds like a joke, but until you’ve actually done it you won’t understand. I don’t say that to compare myself to Kai or someone working a 9-5, but just to give some perspective on streaming.
So while I personally didn’t really enjoy doing Elf Hunt streams, they were for community building and money (and some fun don’t get me wrong, just wasn’t the main point on my end, I was happy to see viewers have fun though), I still did enjoy the Elf Hunt and it remains one of my favorite seasons on Bloxburg. I still plan to do it in my neighborhood (the best on bloxburg: Cyder_TV), but I don’t plan to stream it anymore for the reasons above.
I’ll figure out something else I can do w/ viewers thats interactive and community building like a gamenight or something of the likes through my discord server, but I just don’t think it is worth it for me personally to continue to do the Elf Hunt streams so my last one will be the one I did a couple days ago.
TLDR; Streaming the Elf Hunt has always been somewhat taxing on streamers, or at the very least me, but it used to be worth the exhaustion and loss of voice, I no longer feel that it is. Therefor, I am not going to make Elf Hunt streams anymore.
What do you think changed/happened? 🤔

Interesting... removing people from the program for small issues while there are members of the program that haven't posted in months. Not a great look for Bloxburg

Breaking News🚨🗞️ Former Bloxburg content creator @AshleyTheUni has been removed from the Bloxburg content creator program. While several reasons for the removal were given, Ashley claims the primary reason was leaking the Bloxburg winter logo an hour before the update went live.
